From what I understand, it's going to be more of a dual threat qb system. Longshore will still get some snaps. In any event, I like what this presents for MSU's chances. Riley is talented but is young and is prone to making boneheaded mistakes...check out the youtube vid I posted in the callout thread. MSU brings a pretty heavy pass rush so he's gonna have to keep those legs amovin'.

This is a great day and start to the College Football season.

Coming out of the Elite 11... Kevin Riley was the #2 rated qb just behind Tim Tebow.

His passer rating is 174.6 .... which is a damn near impossibility in Tedford's complex offensive system.

This to go along with the most talented team Cal has had since Tedford's been here.

This should be a treat for the College football fans around the country on National Televison (except the south) they get the sleepytime game of the week "Clemson v Alabama".

Javon Ringer probably the 2nd best back in the Big 10...a solid, steady Sr. QB...good young talent at WR and a pretty stout defense...plus they have a coach who was DC at OSU 2001-2003...probably 2 of the best defenses OSU ever had 2002 and 2003...and a guy who knows what it takes to win...

You know what a kid is capable of when its all on the line. He was a young frosh who made a huge fucking mistake that really took the wind out of Cal's sails after that game.

The only way Riley can make up for a mistake like that is lead them to a BCS bowl.

However, as long as Mac Brown is alive and isn't suffering from laryngitis, I don't think Cal will ever make it to a BCS bowl game.
