Both. NC State has a capable tailback in Davis, but that's about it. Their offense is one of the more anemic one's I've seen. It didn't help their starting qb got taken out in the 1st quarter. It's going to take O'Brien some time to get adjusted by getting his own guys into the program. That much is certain.

South Carolina is just too one-dimensional. You'd think Spurrier would be able to recruit a decent quarterback.

Apart from that safety, Stanford appears to have a tissue-paper defense. If the OSU kid was a little more accurate, Stanford would have lost.

Got home from school and had that game on DVR. Baylor had their chances to get back in the game, but they had some fucking stupid blunders. Coughing it up twice inside their own 15 and then another time inside the Deacons' 20 right when they were about to make it a one score game was brutal.

Briles was not very good at making sure his guys protected the ball at UofH. Looks like he is going to have the same struggles at Baylor.

Griffin is going to be stud though.

Oregon State does tend to be a slow-starting, strong-finishing team. Riley will get them squared-away. Sucky way to lose a game. There was plenty of time left on the clock, no reason to stretch the ball out like that. Back in '99 the 'skers blew playing for the MNC by doing that crap.

Props to Harbaugh, he's going to do good things at 'ford.
