How 'bout them Tigers?

Thanks to Ike canceling some other game, I got to watch Mighty Mizzou light up Nevada for 69 today on FSN when it was supposed to only be on PPV. 69 frigging points! Jeebus Christ, they scored on their first 10 possesions and didn't have to punt until midway thru the 4th quarter. I'd accuse them of running up the score except that Chase Daniel was out halfway thru the 3rd. Nevada prolly didn't appreciate the fake FG that went for a TD, though.

Speaking of Chase - the guy is simply on fire. Almost every pass he throws gets caught. 3 different receivers went for over a hundy today with Maclin leading the way with 172 and 3 TD's. That stable of receivers has unbelievable hands.

But it wasn't all pretty. In the first half, piss poor tackling allowed Nevada to march up and down the field pretty much at will. It seems the first guy always misses and it takes two or three defenders to take down a ball carrier.... about 8 yards further downfield. That's going to bite them in the ass eventually if they can't correct it. As well, another blown coverage allowed a TD on what should have been a Hail Mary right before halftime.

Yeah, I know it's "just" Nevada, but that was a pretty impressive effort by the offense today. I simply can't wait for the cupcake portion of the schedule to be over and get into conference play.

Be very afraid, Huskerfan.

People in Missouri gotta buy Mizzou games on PPV? You poor folks. MSU could play Namibia Polytechnic and I can count on the game being on.

for all that traffic, it might be worst setup board there is

but seriously, very disappointed that they didnt have Gabbert throwing on every down. It's his job next season, and with tougher games coming up, this will be his last chances to get in(Buffalo). Got to get him more throws from the spread.

Coffman is a beast, the catch and 7 stiff arms was nice.

A huge thing that irks me, is that the 1st team defense was still in there with 4 minutes left in 4th. they cant afford any injuries, already thin at LB. the freshman LB should be getting more snaps in blowouts, Wil Ebner is a beast, hard hitter from Tejas.

Blame Tejas and the shit Big12 contract. Worst contracts from a BCS conference. christ, there are more MAC games on.

Pinkel was quite the dick today, that fake late in the game was just ridiculous. That said, Mizzou's O is scary as fuck. I'll be happy if my 'skers can keep it a game.

The 12 does have a lousy tv-contract. Had to watch all three warm-up games on PPV. But I guess I should be glad we have the PPV-option since the contract sucks and we sucked last year. The production-values are total crap on those PPV's, gotta be making a nice return on their investment.

when they did the Fake FG( early in 3rd quarter). i thought to myself, i bet he wants to get a TD to put Daniel and company on the pine. If they hit a FG, Chase might ask for another scoring drive.

as soon as they scored on Fake FG, daniel and companys day was over. And you do have to show some wrinkles.

remember last years Fake vs Nubs. you have to show those plays eventually. If it was in 4th ,i would have a problem, early in 3rd Q???

As bad as people say the defense were(although they missed a ton of tackles on 3rd down to help drives continue), they didnt give up a single point in the 2nd half.

OK it wasn't THAT late in the game but Mizzou was kicking the shit out of Nevada. I just can't get behind running a fake when you have the game well in-hand. I can understand wanting to get Daniels out of there but IMO running a fake on a beaten opponent is not something you do.

Agreed, and Pinkel says they were trying to call timeout and waive it off, but the players went ahead and ran it anyway.

It was beautiful. :D

2 things:

1. Dr. Tom certainly ran it up on people.
2. Mizzou ran the hook and lateral last week in a game that was clearly out of hand, no?

Yeah, you'd rather spend it on a 4-team C-USA parlay because you're a fucking dolt.

No tard, i've stated why i wouldn't. I don't pay to see spring training games, preseason games, and cream puffers. I have never paid to see a preseason lambs game, never paid to see the Blues play a preseason game, and don't pay to see MU whip on a chump team, no not Iowa, SEMO. Would of been same final score, but different chump team!

For the record, I'd think more highly of you if you did blow all of your money on a 4 team C-USA parlay than if you watched ANY hockey game. Preseason or otherwise.
