I know Pac-10 fan.....
You were right, I was wrong. The Pac-10 is awesome and I was nuts saying the SEC is a tougher conference....
ASU loses to UNLV
UCLA gets pounded by 59 at BYU (I told you guys UCLA sucked and had no business beating Tennessee)
Cal went Cal and lost to a shitty Maryland team (m2 is an idiot, nuff said)
Oregon needs a miraculous rally to beat a shitty Purdon't team
Arizona was getting beat by a shit New Mexico team last I saw (too lazy to look up the final score)
Wazzou buttfucked in the mouth by Baylor
U-dub hammered by a very good OU team
Yep, you guys were dead on. Everyone is just an SEC homer. The Pac-10 is clearly better. Fucking idiots. You guys need to stick to surfing and getting some botox for your strung out, crackhore wives. Leave the football to those of us that know what the fuck we're talking about.

Tennessee isn't laughing.
Georgia probably loses next week too.

ASU can't beat a terrible UNLV team but they're going to beat Georgia? Tennessee isn't laughing because they're pissed off they lost to a UCLA team they'd beat 99 out of 100.

I think most Pac 10 fans only take offense to the SEC inbreds that support one team in the conference but try to gravy train off the success of the other conference teams. Tonight at the Coliseum the place fucking shook when the UCLA score was announced and everyone was gad to see feCal lose as well. Pac 10 fans generally want to see their conf foes lose every week. SEC fan who supports a fucked up, worthless, shitty team will talk smack because some other team in the conference won the BCS title game last year. I have been told that its because Southerners stick together since the rest of the world is against them, that may be true but you just look more ridiculous when you get jacked up over a win by a conference foe in an OOC game. Calling a team that you do not play on "we" or "us" is pathetic in Corkian magnitudes but calling other teams in the conf "we" or "us" is they type of shit that should lead to your sterilization and the extinction of your living offspring so you dont continue that cycle of stupidity.
Forget the stupid conference arguements, what has the team you support done and what kind of balls do they have in the teams they play and locations of the games in the 2-4 spots in the schedule that they actually control who they play
And why doesnt Oregon and feCal realize that their stupid asses need to fly to the east coast on Thursday morning for a Saturday game and not Friday night, retards, quit relying on the Southwest get-a-way- weekend rates

I don't know where you get this about SEC fan. I've found they tend to hate each other more than fans of teams in any other conference. It's typically the shit SEC teams like Kentucky or Ole Miss that would gravy train off the rest of the league. SEC fans hate each other. Most don't root for each other.
As for the flying out early.....I'm not sure they can. Don't know the rule, but I'm not certain they can fly out before Friday for a Saturday game. Besides, Oregon has no excuse at all. They played an afternoon game. It was noon Oregon time when they played. Cal's excuse is pretty lame. You gotta prepare your team for a time change. Get them there, get them rest. Be ready to play. No excuses.

Don't underestimate the cathartic value of looking past a supposed easy win and getting royally fucked in the process.
I'm not going to call a win, but the Devils should be pretty motivated next week.
Either that, or they suck as bad as the rest of the Pac 10.
Either way, take the over.

I'm sure they were looking past them, but you've still gotta nut up and get a win. Don't have to play your best......just win.
3-7 day today for the Pac-10. Wow! I can't remember the last time a BCS conference pulled off that lousy of a a day in the non-conference. And for a conference that's the best in the country by far according to m2tool, that's pretty amazing.

I missed the part where I was claiming PAC 10 superiority over the rest of the world.
It's one fucking game, and the any given (saturday) rule still is valid.
If they take Georgia out, this game will be meaningless.
If not, it will be more so.

You can bag on the Pac-10 but the bottom line is that USC is better than anything we've got over here in the Medium Eleven.

Down here they definately root for their team, but circle the (insert meatgrinder smiley here) wagons whenever the Yanks or left coasters dare to puff out their chests. I here things like "we've got 3 teams in the top 8". Really Jimbob?

No shit. Thanks Marcus. They had no excuse for coming out and getting it handed to them for the first half of that game. Purdue is fucking terrible. Having to rally from a 3 score deficit to beat them in OT is hardly anything to be proud of. Oregon loses that game if Joe Tiller wasn't the coach of Purdon't. His teams always lose these games. I meant they had no excuse for showing up and playing like that.

Just a little FYI...
Purdue isn't on the East Coast.
TheJON wrote:Purdue is fucking terrible.
Yet they played a fairly decent game saturday. Their offense ran into a freaking buzzsaw about halfway through the second quarter, but overall, they played much better than expected. Then again, it was their Rose Freaking Bowl. Expected them to come out hot... and then eventually fall to the superior team.
But I love the douchereasoning here -- because the PAC10 team WON, by some strange deduction, it somehow means the PAC sucks...
pure genius.

The 12th-year senior Purdue is rolling out at QB ain't so bad.

Basketball on grass typically keeps Purdue competitive for a couple quarters or so. They're just never good enough on D to seal the deal.

I don't think Any Given Saturday will strike USC this year. All their tough Pac games are at home, so an undefeated season is set up nicely for them.

Isolated games aren't indicative of the way a team will perform all year. The nature of CFB is often that a team will get blown out, and then look like world beaters the following week. Or vice versa. I think quite a few teams could give SC a test...at least to the extent that SC will only win by 2 TDs.

What's wrong with my reasoning? Oregon should have had no trouble with a shit team like Purdue.
Purdue always falls to superior teams because Tiller is a shit coach. His system is fucking garbage and his teams are NEVER mentally tough. I can't think of a program that loses so many games down the stretch and never seems to win them. That's because he has a system that can move the football, maybe put up a few points early but then once it gets down to crunch time and the opposing defense and offense nuts up they're fucked. Always has been. He gets credit for making Purdue at least a respectable program, but overall he is a terrible coach.

I expected a close game in West Lafayette. JON, the problem with Purdue isn't competitiveness, it's closing games out. Their d is soft, and gets worn down. By the time the 4th qtr comes, they can't manage to hang onto a lead. But, they CAN hang with people. So I'm not sure why you were so shocked to see a close game.
Oregon traveled over 2200 miles to play this game. Teams not named USC rarely do that and blow people out. You'd know that if you've been paying attention to CFB for the last few years.

Who was the last SEC team to win a road game at a Big 10 team's place?
When the SEC schedules somebody, and wins, then they can talk trash about Oregon's road win not being impressive enough for you, douchebucket.
Maybe when the SEC manages to stop shitting themselves when they're forced to play mediocre Pac-10 teams on the road, they might have cause to say shit about Oregon "just barely" beating Purdue on the road.
Oregon did what they should have done. They fucking won. The same thing that Tennessee should have done when playing at this joke of a UCLA team.

Thats how I see it.
We all know ESPN will be riding OSUs jock come november, if they go through the Big10 again undefeated. Their biggest test in the Big 10 is at Wisconsin. PSU is looking pretty good early but I give the edge to OSU since its at the Shoe.
OSU will probably get the nod over a couple of other 1 loss teams because their loss was against the #1 team. OU, Mizzou, LSU, ect will be left out and we will get to see another Buckeye shellacking.
Here is hoping that two teams go undefeated so we dont have to see that bullshit again.

I agree that Oregon's win at Purdue is a good win. Purdue's been fairly decent for a few years now. Any road win against a quality opponent is a good win.
Purdue will be lucky to finish .500 in a mediocre Big-10 and that is one of the most unintimidating atmosphere's of any non-Pac-10 stadium.
