on saturdays you get good to great games, some fluent Offenses, some mean, physical defenses, and great football.
then on Sundays you get literally 90% of the games that are pathetic or just poor played games.
You have a league where close to half the Starting QB's are porous, bad, or just plain shit.
Mediocre
Football
League
PS NFL ratings were as low as the NBA ratings.
thank god for Fantasy football and Gamblers.
Sin,
NFL

the frickin Chiefs and Raiders are on in Denver. War the AFC West.....
Howie Long is an intellectual type with those glasses and over-exagerated hand gestures.

It seems in the NFL offense isn't keeping up with improved defenses, which makes for a lot of watered down entertainment and poor qb play. CFB seems to offer a better overall balance.

Mainly because in the NFL, they can actually tackle.

Whatever the reason, it sure does get boring.

they can???? when? i watch 4-6 games a weekend in NFL. they are as bad as MU was in first half vs Nevada.
christ, there has been close to 20 missed tackles in lambs-giants game, and many by giants.
all they do in the NFL is try to strip the ball, or hit with their shoulder pad. the WR or back, takes the hit and keeps going. horrible.

You should've seen the Lions game last Sunday. People wonder why Turner had such a huge day.

I don't have a viable pro football team up here but I'll keep the game on because what else is there to watch on a Sunday?

I really enjoy watching the NFL...I think that it really takes a few weeks for teams to get into the groove. CFB seems to start with a bang.

I havent watched an NFL game since 1994, not even a Superbowl, when you have no rooting interest its just god damn boring.
Luckily Sundays is when the Pop Warner games are on and both of my sons teams won today. I coach the defense of my younger sons team and we blitzed the shit out of the team from Santa Ana and gave up just 2 first downs, one was through a penalty. The older sons game was close but the kid had a scoop and score in the 4th quarter and his team won by 12 points.

Get off the NFLs cock. You and I both know that statement is bullshit.

Why sundays suck?
Colts -1
Packers -3
Giants -8
Jaguars -5
Cardinals -6.5
Patriots +1.5
Cowboys -6.5
Down $20 instead of up 2K.
Oh well. Any given sunday.
BTW, I hope picking random colors is even more annoying than bolding.
You're welcome.

I watch both. I see college players miss tackles. I see NFL players make those same tackles. That's why they're in the NFL and not flipping burgers.

That was anything but boring.

NFL > College and it's not even close. It's more about pure football than it is emotions and turnovers.
I love college football, but let's face it, it isn't really as much about the game as it is everything else. The tailgating, the pagentry, the bands, etc..... Don't get me wrong, I love all of that (well, except for the gay ass bands), but I care more about the game than I do the other crap. For pure football fans, it's really no comparison. The NFL trumps CFB.
In CFB, how do you win? It's quite simple....recruit well. How do you recruit well? Either coach at a school that's a traditional power or cheat. Or both (see Pete Carrol). CFB is not equal. Media recruits for certain schools, coaches cheat, and the game itself isn't as good. NFL has better football and each team has nearly an equal opportunity to succeed. It's just up to them to manage their organization well.
Oh yeah, and the NFL actually decides its champion on the field.

Obviously the players are better in the NFL - faster, bigger, stronger...there's just no disputing that. The product as a whole just doesn't do it for me. For me it comes down to matchups. CFB just offers much more intrigue in that regard.
I can watch every snap of a Thursday night MAC game, but struggle to get through a quarter of MNF.

Hey, I can manage to sit through an entire Super Bowl. That's got to count for something, right?
Sticking around for the 4th qtr too see what new and creative ways the Lions can blow a lead is also solid entertainment.

You, sirs, are suckers for punishmemt.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
Me? There's FFL points galore up for grabs on MNF... not so much with a Thursday night MAC meaningless game...
God forbid that Iowa State/Baylor ever makes it onto my TV. I'd call Time Warner cable and demand reparations.

I'd rather watch my team rally from a 21 point deficit with 7 minutes to play only to lose by 23 than have to sit through another week of watching the Chiefs offense play like they've never even heard of the game of football. Matt Millen is no bigger of an idiot than Carl Peterson.

I see the arguments for the NFL and think they're solid. The logic is there...the interest still isn't. Just one of those things.

Why are NFL players playing in a college game? How do they make the same tackles? Why would a Non-NFL player be flipping burgers when he could easily be selling cars, insurance, or playing in a semi-pro league?
They both go for the highlight.

The only fundamental tackles are from old school video. The rest are guys leading with their shoulder and looking at the ground.
PS.

I thought college football sucked. Then why are you too much of pussy to throw up the chef logo. Seems your allegiance lies with CFB or at least your pride does

No rooting interest so fuck the NFL, I'm not cheering for a team that doesnt call where Im from home. After Roskies stadium deal goes through and a team is here, maybe Ill watch the NFL again, but I think any one who is from So Cal should be eligible for the expansion draft if thats the type of team that LA gets.
