The Birds and The Boys

Wow.... 6 hours away from game time and not one post about the game tonight? I wish this game was happening a little later in the year.. btu am so hopped up. I think it is going to be one hell of a game. I think you're going to see the Eagles front 4 is going to get to Romo Early and often... punch him in the mouth and not let him get into his rythym. Barber will get yards (I think that is inevitable).. but they will lock down in the red zone and keep him otu of the end zone. On offense, I think there are going to be some new wrinkles. I think there will be alot of 2 RB sets with Booker and Westbrook, and putting one in motion. Matching either of them against those linebackers is great.. and any help from the secondary will open up the long bomb to Jackson (who the boys have yet to see) or Brown (who is back). I don;t think it is going to be a blowout either way- but the Birds shock the Boys early and take this one on the road

Birds: 27
Boys: 19

Good to see you back Marley. You and jimbo have been in hiding since your seagulls were the only team in our division not to make the playoffs last year. But no sense in beating a dead horse.

This game should be a good one. I don't think your front four is going to have their way with our OL. Those 5 guys are the biggest and probably the meanest in the league. Sure, you'll sneak a blitz, maybe two, in there. But not "often." While your offense definitely has a secret weapon with Jackson, ours does as well with Felix the cat. Ask your coach what he thinks of Felix. He'll be the first to tell you he looks a hell of a lot like Westbrook. Of course he has a looooong way to go to prove that point, but he will make plays tonight. Look for a few screens to Felix to slow down the pass rush, run Barber down your throat, and mix in a pass here and there to Witten, Owens and Co.

On defense, our secondary will keep ya'll in check. As long as Roy is out of the lineup, which he is on third down thank goodness, we'll be alright. You'll see Henry spy on Westbrook, and have Newman and Jones on the corner. If Newman cant go, then look for Scandrick to spy on Westbrook and Jones and Henry man the corners. Either way, we'll be alright on defense. This isn't St Louis Marley. Baleeeeeeeee dat.

I agree the score will be close, but my Boys are coming on top.

Boys 27
Eagles 17

Hey DF.. good to see ya man! Is Jim still around? Haven't talked to him since I left my old job. Alot going on- going through a divorce, etc... but things are finally settling down and I'm back to watch my guys take the NFC East back this year!

Look for D-Jax to take Pac Man to the woodshed tonight with a possible punt return to the house.

It's how he rolls....

I've picked just a few players over the years that teams that passed on them would regret... before the season started.

Here they are the 3 that I've picked over the years

1. Frank Gore (money)

2. Aaron Rodgers (money)

3. DeSean Jackson (soon to be money)

If I recall correctly... Jerry Jones said there were no wide receivers left on the board to take, while DeSean had yet to be picked.

D-Jax is going to make the "facelift" eat his words in PRIMETIME.

It's just how Cal players... roll.

I don't. I think you're going to see Owens and Witten rampaging through your weak-ass secondary virtually unchecked.

28-17 Boys

Spot on there. The Eagles are about an 8-8 team this year. Dallas is a possible 16-0 and easily Super Bowl champs.

Jim Johnson will have no answers tonight.

Field position is the name of the game tonight and the Cowboys special teams coverage is pretty bad. If Jackson and Demps have a few big returns, the Eagles can pull this out. Otherwise Whitten once again owns the Eagles secondary and they win by a few TDs.

My prediction

Eagles 27
Cowboys 24

I can't wait. A Monday Night slobberknocker.
Sadly, watching this heavyweight bout will remind everyone why the 'Skins are headed for 4th place and probably won't even win a division game this year.

Dallas 35
Philly 30

How much is the "facelift" paying the NFL.

Two facemasks and one almost took off Westbrooks head.

How did all the officials miss that one ??? Hmmmmm.

Do you make it a habit talking out your ass?

Let's put those plans on hold for a bit.

Nice hands, Romo.

DeSean gets them down the field 60 yards in 6 seconds.... and gives the glory to Westbrook.

That's a team player.

Something tells me DeSean will be buying #36 a few steak dinners for the rest of the year for saving his hide.

Yeah, he gets the team 60 yards in 6 seconds plus a TD... and he's the dumbfuck ?

If Westbrook can't get it in from the one yard line against the Cowboys... he should be buying DeSean dinner for the rest of the year.

Some of you idiots act like he fumbled it and the other team recovered at the one.

Without that play... Dallas is still in the lead.

Eagles haven't exactly had trouble moving up and down the field against the Cowboys. All Jackson did is assure himself of a week in the doghouse and a highlight of celebrating too early instead of getting across the fucking goalline.

The real dumbfucks were the "Cowboys" for not recovering it and taking it back the other way.

That he did.

Now all that's left... is a punt return.

200lio,

Answer this with a simple "yes" or "no."

Is there anything wrong with flipping the ball behind you at the 1 yard line in celebration?

No spin job. Just a simple yes or no will do.

Right. But they did score. It comes with the DeSean territory and they know he'll at least celebrate -after- he gets into the endzone now. Whatever else he is, DeSean learns from his mistakes.

I believe he asked for the 'no spin' answer.
