I think BSmack was trying to type Mendenhall.

Way over on the "look at the bright side" of things. Kind of like after a tornado and coming up from one's shelter and saying "Hey, the foundation is still here, as you peer out among the debris of your home" and "Oh by the way, the wind stopped blowing and it's not raining anymore".
The question is, has the wind stopped blowing ? Most analysts say NO.
I know I'm stocking up on rice and beans, canned tuna and salmon, and arming myself. Getting my "Go Box ready", of course it has to be transportable via my back because I don't think there'll be gas to drive anywhere safe.
Might be best to just dig in and fight for my home. Squatter.
Let me know how you all fare and when things look up for you. We need to keep Hope, alive.
Running to the surplus store to get a home surgery kit for the Go Box.
When the 'NET falls, how will we communicate ? Any HAM radio operators in here ?
I'll see you all on the road. Fellow Travellers. Obama can't get in office soon enough to finish the job. Brace yourselves.
God speed, and God bless.

Thank you, in these times of great strife and tribulation, a kind word goes a long way.
If fate draws you to the Blue Ridge, I'll be in a cave, I'll PM you the details. You're welcome to share some soup and stale bread with me.
Prosperity will return, some day, fellow traveller.

And then Obama will send the FBI up there to shoot my wife and kid. Good point.
Maybe the sky isn't falling and maybe I should just stick it out in my "sustainable community".
Thanks for the advice Brother mvscal.
Re: The fundamentals of our economy are strong?
I'll bring a Coscto size jar of mayo and we can make stale bread tuna sammiches.
But then, tuna is full of mercury too so maybe it's not such a good idea.

Re: The fundamentals of our economy are strong?
I'm pretty sure that Tom's remains will make a few lb of excellent organic (with a small amount of residual mercury) fertilizer.

Brother Mikey,
Tuna has more mercury than salmon. Salmon has trace amount, we'll be safe on salmon for awhile. Stay away from Mayo that has "High Fructose Corn Syrup" in it, that's a method of control.
Brother mvscal,
Good point. Hey, those Japs had a point - the "war" never really did end - just took on a different dynamic. Besides, they were good soldiers. Nobody told them to surrender. I'm liking my cave again. I'll just die and my body will decompose into the earth providing nutrients - that's right - NUTRIENTS to mother earth. I'll be a Green Warrior.

We're not paying them to do that sort of thing - oh no.

The problem?"We will have a list of foreclosed homes and will make sure people aren't voting from those addresses," the official, James Carabelli, told the Michigan Messenger
The One's only outside prayer at this point is voter fraud. Looks like Michigan wants every true vote to count. Gee, I wonder why...
John Boehner wrote:Boehner said. "In Congress, we have a red button, a green button and a yellow button, alright. Green means 'yes,' red means 'no,' and yellow means you're a chicken shit. And the last thing we need in the White House, in the oval office, behind that big desk, is some chicken who wants to push this yellow button.

Re: The fundamentals of our economy are strong?
And what if they ARE still resident at the address listed on voter records? What then? The Republicans argue that people who have lost their homes may no longer be resident at the address listed on voter records, and hence are ineligible to vote, and that their efforts are aimed at preventing voting fraud.
Even more ironic is the assumption by the GOP hacks that people who have been foreclosed on are more likely to vote Democratic. Obviously they know who's to blame for this shitstorm we're in and they figure that voters who have been foreclosed on will as well.

Really?
You think that Average Joe is really sitting around blaming HIMSELF...
For making such stupid decisions at the voting booth, and for not standing up for his rights every time the government trashes yet another part of the Constitution?

I was referring to the Michigan Republicans, not the average voter.
