Nice game. Well, you might not think so...
Real quick as an aside - As of last Thursday evening, I wasn't planning on watching the game. I just made a move from Michigan to Illinois and was planning on originally doing the move on Saturday. Ran into some complications and didn't actually move until yesterday. This turned out to be a good problem as I was able to catch the game.
It went down pretty much how I expected, except I thought ND might tack a few more points on the board. ND gave up that fumble in MSU territory which was a killer for them. All around, I was very happy with the way MSU played on D. The secondary is the D's biggest question mark and it played bend but not break ball, which is all one can ask for. ND's passing game will cause some teams fits. I think Clausen is going to be just fine. It's apparent how much he's progressed. Much, MUCH more poise, more arm strength, better decision maker. He was taking hit after hit in that game and bounced right back up like it didn't happen. I think he's a player. Unfortunately for him a couple mistakes he did make turned into INTs, but give a lot of credit to Otis Wiley for MSU who I feel is a helluva football palyer. The guy is all over the field delivering hits, picking off passes, delivering punt returns... I'm biased but I think he's pretty underrated. I guess if MSU posts a decent record he'll get some more love.
Anyway, just curious about your guys' thoughts on the game.
