So, as some of you may remember I was off to the great Northwest this weekend, after a conference for my wife's business in Seattle. I flew into PDX and the wife rode the train down to meet me. Before she got there I took a tour of PDX behind the scenes with a buddy who works in the Ops department.

The next day we get up and drive down to visit the OSU campus. Horrible traffic, decent town.

Got a tour of the campus and my wife in front of the mascot.

Then in the early afternoon we get a tour of the athletic facilities from the SID. First up the practice field.

Then it was off to the game. Before you see that you need to be reminded of something. I am sure all of you are now familiar with Jacquizz Rodgers. You should have remembered that name from this thread.
Left Seater wrote:I think any list has to have Jaquizz Rodgers of Oregon State on it. Dude scored more rushing TDs than anyone in Texas HS football history and will likely play huge minutes for the Beavers.

Enough of the "I told you so." Onto the game.

All in all one of the top 4 games I have seen or played in.

The trip then moved on to Mt Saint Helens.

Then we visited a few waterfalls along the Columbia River.

Then it was back to Austin for a funeral on Sunday, but first we went to the Texas v Arkansas game.

Was standing at that very spot yesterday (Sunday). Haven't been up in a while, brought back lots of memories of May 18th.

But as you now know -- pics don't begin to do justice to the awesome sight of such massive devastation. BIG boom. 500 Hiroshimas.

Lefty, I've been to both. Mt. St. Helens is an awe inspiring site. Then watching the videos of it....Harry Truman, the old dude who is now buried under about 300' of shit. I remember when that thing exploded, we had ash in LA. Amazing.

Awesome PET, you got quite the entertaining life bro.

My wife and I had all access passes. Press box, field, locker room, well she wasn't allowed in the locker room. I have covered the Rogers brothers for the past 4 years and was a guest of the athletic department. We even met and took a picture with Erin Andrews, on the promise that it wouldn't make it onto the net. Poor woman is surrounded by about 20 people at all times. Some are ESPN staffers with a monitor, camera, sound, others are security, and the vast majority are just wanting to follow her around.

I also noticed that in the background of one of the pics of the F-15 taking off you can see the Washington painted RJ.

Not normally a fan of the PET threads but this was :bode:

My GF has a crap load of pics from Oregon and Washington where she lived before she moved here that are absolutely gorgeous (both her and the scenery). I want to get up there and check it out again since I have never been as an adult. We wanted to go to the UW game and had tickets but with my father being so ill and in and out of the hospital lately we didn't think it was wise and sent the tickets to a friend of mine from Oregon who agreed to wear a Sooners hat for me while attending. I'd post some of the pics (without her in them) but I don't want to go all Dins and hijack the PET thread...

Used to spend quite a bit of time in Neskowin.
