Sapp spouts the same rhetoric we've heard 100s of times.
Nothing fresh.

'Bout as fresh as him getting his flabby ass blown backwards off the ball ... as the opposition converts yet another 3rd and 1 right over him.
Nothing fresh.

Keep yappin', Warren Crap, yes, and maybe you'll con some idiots in the audience into forgetting that you talked a good game in Oakland, but never really played up to what you assured everyone you were.

Good grief, this guy is a stupid fucking kunt.

Cmon Pop, you have to be laughing at the thought of Davis in the booth, decked out in PJ's making calls to his puppets, spouting off nonsense about deep post patterns and flea flickers.

I can see that happening. It'll only be a few more years until Jerry's doing the same thing, so I have to take my cracks now.

Warren Crap wrote:"Al Davis knows football -- it's just '60s and '70s football. That's what it is. He's thinking that Cliff Branch is outside and [Jim] Plunkett is dropping back and you can throw it 80 yards down the field -- deep ball, deep ball, deep ball."
Total ignorance.

Rich Gannon was a dink-and-dunker.

Ken Stabler was not a big-armed guy at all, either.
He picked at a defense with quick hitters to Freddie B and the Ghost.

No doubt, he prefers a big-armed QB who can get it deep, but Davis wants to WIN.

Sapp got over on Al. He was over the hill and yet Al signed him. Yet another mistake by Al. Its ok to admit that Al is done. Everyone needs to retire at some point. Its Al's time. Be a owner emeritus. Sit in the box and act like NFL royalty. But good grief, turn the team's day to day operations over to someone..umm..i dont know, Matt Millen?

I think Davis wants to win.....his way.

What did Sapp say that we already didn't know? What makes it a big deal is Sapp as a former player confirms the rumors. Al has a problem with every coach, even Gruden, despite having a winning record and being one of the better teams in the NFL at that time.

Back in the day on Romes board, I had to endure a lot of Chargers ineptitude smack (which was true), due largely to front office and coaching incompetence. As much as I hate the RaiDuhs I don't wish that on anybody, but that is where the Duhs are now.

I don't think that is going to change until the Crypt Keeper croaks.....

Al has a problem with every coach,
That's the problem, no doubt.

He was fortunate early to have Madden, and then Flores, who were both evidently able to suck up a lot of bullshit and carry on like good soldiers.

That early success with coaches reinforced in Al's mind that it was 'easy' to plug coaches in to the organization ... if you have excellent players ... and get great results.

But it ain't that simple, and times change, attitudes change, and attitudes of coaches change.

Al has never, imo, come to grips with this.

The Raiders need change. Real change you can believe in. Not this so-called "maverick".
unnamed source wrote:"Our offensive system in turmoil," an announcer says in the ad. "And Al Davis? Erratic in a crisis. Out of touch with today's NFL."

Yes, so out of touch that we were in 2 AFC Championship games and the fucking Super Bowl 6 years ago while in the midst of pulling down 3 straight AFC west titles.

Chargette fan commenting on ANYONE else's owner is outright fucking hilarious-if theres a worse owner in the L, it belongs to you gushing twats....I mean, this cunt doesnt even live in San Diego-he flies in from L.A. (burbank) to watch the Clippers of football here.

No but he's now "participating" in poli threads.

You might assume that if he had more brains than a sack of hammers (I know, I know that's going way out on a limb) he would catch the reference. Guess that's expecting way too much. My bad.
