Take this to the bank!
Lions over the Vikings.
The Vikings are notorious for underachiving, and with a coach like Brad Childress, the new Wayne Fonts is resurrected
.

New Orleans is a tasty 35-1 still and some schedule relief is coming. Scrape up $20 squids and give it a shot.

Using the Sportsbook.com lines from Yahoo...
First, the obvious pick...
Detroit @ Minnesota (-13)
The Lions haven't won in the Metrodome in quite a while and have been awful on the road so far. With Kitna either playing hurt or missing the game and with Roy running his mouth and pitching fits on the field...this team is an utter mess. The Lions have the absolute worst defense in the NFL...they've yet to prove they can slow anyone down and their horrible front seven against Peterson and their strong offensive line...it'll be ugly.
Dallas @ Arizona (Over 50 1/2)
This will be an offensive orgy...simple as that.
N.Y. Giants (-9) @ Cleveland
I see that the number is 7-1/2 on the other lines but I think the Giants win by double digits...especially if Winslow doesn't play. Hey Corey Williams...shut up!

If I were really gambling, I wouldn't even bother to bet this weekend. I don't like any of the bets on the board. But, if you put a gun to my head, here's my 3 "best" bets.
Green Bay +2 over Seattle
Miami +3 over Houston
Giants -8 over the Brownies

Man, I actually felt bad for the Lions today...for the first time all season, they played well enough to win and got the short end of a few questionable calls by the zebras. They got the raw end of two interference calls and they got jobbed on a very close fumble call and on that play Calvin Johnson was on the receiving end of a helmet-to-helmet shot from Darren Sharper that kept him on the sidelines the rest of the game. Sharper will get a fine for that hit for sure.
The first four losses were no-doubters but this week they actually came out and played a physical game defensively and ran the offense well consider the circumstances at QB. When you see the Rams and Texans win dramatically get their first win, tough to see the Lions fall short in a game I didn't expect them to have shot in. At least it's a jumping off point for the rest of the season...it's a loss they can build from.
