A fliend of mine called me this afternoon and sounded genuinely scared. Keep in mind that this guy is a 15 year officer veteran in the Marines and is tough as nails. He has been an independent broker of securities for years and has been extremely successful. Eight months ago he called me and told me to exit the market and go to MM accounts, tax free bonds, and a few other sheltered investments, and he did this to his complete portfolio. He has seen this coming for along time and we're both surprised it didn't happen sooner.

It appears the manipulation by our congress(on both sides) made this happen just before the elections.

The dirty secret is that the market panic is because of the realization the Obamalamadingdong and the dummycraps have a good chance at running this country without check and everyone in the world is shitting a ring around themselves. It is a power grab, pure and simple. Those in the know are ejecting as quick as they can.


BTW, because of this guys advice, I'm almost equal to inflation.

He's not kidding. I logged into my Principal account this afternoon and almost cried. The reality is, I'm not buying more shares and in the long run (crosses fingers) we actually will be in better shape. Otherwise it looks like I'm going to have to sell the neighbors kids back to China.

Luke warm Mike. Yes, when I met my wife, there were some seriously important questions to ask the father in law about protecting what he had in assets. I found that he had not taken the measures to protect said assets and I made the effort to help him set up a family trust. His health was questionable then and he passed away a acouple of years later. Had I not taken those measures, the inheritance taxes would have exceeded 350k. We sold the home in Pac Pal to a ex baseball player with more money then brains and bought homes on the Central coast where we are all living comfortably. I make my own way, and have done well on several homes sales. My home is bought and paid for by MY OWN proceeds(I took a bath on this one). Even though, I have done nothing more then protect my family and insure their well being.

If you want to be jealous of that, so be it.
