I refuse to watch any more of the UM game now that Sheridan is in at qb. It's embarrassing that he is at the helm. Sheridan couldn't start anywhere in the country, he's terrible. How and why RR is going with this guy is beyond me.

Thank goodness for some real football in the Cotton Bowl today. Really entertaining game.

Edit to add...Toledo will win this game.

why would you go for it if your toledo on 4th and 2 on michigans 37???

u punt and they have to go all the way downfield, and no time outs, under 2mins. instead fat ass ancheutz gave them the ball at their 37 on the missed 4th down.

stupid play calling, but that is why fatboy will be at toledo till he has a coronary

I hate to say it but the bowl streak ends this year.

No way do they close the season at 4-2. Penn State is going to curb stomp them next week to drop them to 2-5. I have a hard time believing that they'll finish 4-1 with games against rivals MSU and OSU and then Purdue, Northwestern, and Minnesota just have better offenses at this point and Michigan's offense stops itself...none of those team will have to bring their defenses with them. 26 points in two games against MAC opposition? Neither of these QBs should even have a chance compete against Feagin, Beaver or Forcier next year. I'm done with both of them. Mallett probably could've ran this offense well enough to get them by for a year before RichRod can get a duel-threat guy that can actually throw as well as move. Neither Threet or Sheridan can throw worth a damn and they're even worse at running with the ball. These guys should transfer to a conventional passing offense because they're like two fish out of water.

I still have faith in the program going forward...this just isn't the right team for the system the way it is constructed. It needs another year of development and it frankly needs better players. I'm prepared to see this team finish in the basement of this conference. I don't like it but I hope being understanding about this year will pay off going forward. I don't even think Lloyd would win with this roster running the old vanilla offense. They've just lost too much talent the last two seasons on both ends of the ball and it's catching up. They have freshmen and sophomores playing where they've had juniors and seniors in recent years. This year was hopefully not going to be as bad it could end up being but it's just going to happen that way unfortunately. It's going to be tough to watch this the rest of the way but this is my team and I'll stick by them. I'm sure there are some pockets of knuckleheads that will start calling for RichRod's head for this loss but those people are detached from reality and aren't fans I'll associate with.

Pressure? In Ohio Stadium?

Maybe by then Beanie will have gotten rid of those army boots.

If they don't jail sex the Wolverines, JoePa should be put in a home. Lloyd had JoePa's number but he's gone...I think he can have better luck against RichRod and his band of misfits.

I agree that PSU should roll.

But 9 in a row is still major :bode:

I agree, you have bode for those games and that can't be taken away. All I'm saying is I don't think what happened in the Lloyd Carr era is at telling in any way whatsoever as to what will happen next weekend. The only similarity between the two programs are the wings on the helmets and that's about it.

Ouch, Toledo was a must-win for postseason plans. Ya it woulda been the Motor City bowl but it would've also been valuable extra practice for a young team.

tfg for me that i was in british columbia and wasn't able to watch the game. i'm also fairly grateful that i'm removed from the immediate situation and can process my own thoughts without the obvious mass panic: OMG WE'RE GOING TO DIE GET YOUR GUNS SOCIALIST SCOREBOARDS ARRRRR!!!

my best response is: meh. it's obviously no good losing to toledo, but i trust dickrod will get the program back to national relavence [something carr hasn't been able to do since 2000]. enduring this will make it that much more worthwhile. i think everyone who deals with umich football - fan or hater - should take note of how other fans are handling this and remind them of all their booing when we're winning seven straight national titles. beginning next year, obviously.

otherwise, was this much of a surprise? i guess so, toledo and all, but the offense is truly horrific. the defense was supposed to be dominant, but really, all we have is a great defensive line and corners who are very good but apparently speak a foreign language the safeties don't understand, probably english. i suppose i should mourn the bowl streak, but all that does is help to reference the past, which hasn't served us well these last few years. we won't be winning 10 straight against psu nor eight against msu, but perhaps with so many young players and this season a wash the focus in practice will be about improvement more so than specific teams, and perhaps a perfect storm will come together just in time for ohio state.

the point was M CLUB...Barwis was supposed to be this super S&C guy...he has taken on almost Tebow like comparison because of his program and since Rod has already said his team was soft after losing the previous week perhaps he could just come out and say it is Barwis' fault...

uh, ok, i guess. i could probably hang out with barwis for a few months and come out looking like those guys. i'd still be slow and tackle like a pussy. i could also drop a team of cut navy seals on the field to play illinois and we'd all start bitching about the quality of play in the army-navy game.

i'm pretty sure soft had to do with their mentality, not the rate at which they process co2.
