I loved that blast by Singletary. That's a guy coming into a job and setting a tone. I'm sure he'll stick by his own and he'll get guys to follow him. Dude sounded like a preacher...I thought that was outstanding to hear a passionate coach.

We have Captain Dry over here who doesn't get pissed off at his 0-7 team and seemingly protects them in the media. I want a coach like that who holds his team accountable and shows true remorse for failure. I think that's why I'm pining for the Lions to go after Bill Cowher or someone of that ilk.

It's a good rant to listen to.

It's not even 1994.

It's all about the money, and the problem is that Singletary doesn't have a lockerroom with 50 guys selling out for ... THE TEAM ... and one Vernon Davis ME ASSCLOWN tearing it down.

No, he's got a lockerroom with a handful, at least, of Vernon Davis ME ASSCLOWNs.
And some of those ME ASSCLOWNS are even "team leaders" in the eyes of others in the room.

So you slap down a V. Davis and it makes for good tv, but it picks away at the room, imo.
You do it again and it picks away it it MORE.

Pretty soon the coach finds that his "solution" has only made matters worse.

In 2008, the players have to answer to the coach, but the coach has to answer to management ... and to agents.
