Anyway, great game Goobs. That was probably the most intense finish to a game I've ever been at. UW really had no business losing this game. They showed up to play, MSU did not, and the Spartans still found a way to eek out the victory down 11 points with 8 minutes to go. Ringer was suffering from a viral infection all week and dropped 10 pounds because he couldn't keep any food down, so his lack of production in this game wasn't a surprise.

Swenson is one of the better kickers in the country, so why Bielema felt the need to better prepare him by calling a timeout with 7 seconds and running on the clock was a mind boggling decision. Did they think they were going to block the kick or something after they set up? Did they have too many men on the field? Strange decision, but a hell of a finish to a pretty sloppy game.

Nice work as usual there, Jimmy Olson. We actually had a halfway decent day up here weather-wise yesterday. Props to Sparty for keeping some of the football pride this year in the state. Your kicking game definitely had a much better week than against Michigan.
