At the start of the season, who would have thought the Michigan State 2.3's could be playing for a Rose Bowl berth? Unreal.

Adel's just rubbing it in. We all know the Big 12 North sets the standard for excellence in major D1 football.

More people had MSU challenging than did PSU.

The Big 10 is a competitive conference, like the b12 and the others are. The only conference that I think has really shown itself to be awful is the Big East.

Now, I don't think anyone is going to end up undefeated this year...possibly a couple of the mid-majors.

Once again, the BCS is shaping up as a SNAFU situation.

.
I know you are loyal to your team and the conference, but from the outside looking in the Big 10 is competetive, but only within itself. From top to bottom if they were to go head to head with the SEC or the Big 12 it would not even be pretty. I think it is more like the PAC 10, minus an elite team. The only current top programs this year have to be OSU and PSU, but compared to the rest of the top 10 poll teams I think they would get plunger raped.

Didn't Illinois give Mizzou a good game this year? Illinois is 5-4, and Mizzou was the darling of the Big 12 for a number of weeks there...

Hard to judge that game especially since it was a rivalry type game played during week one.

Well...should we see the season only through the lens of the current week, or as a whole?

Mu won by 10 pts, illinois scored a late td to make it 10.

mu had leads 10 and of 24 pts in the game.

Nois was never going to win

How is the Big 12 any different in this respect? Your conference is a whopping 7-8 vs non- conference BCS teams. Three of these seven wins came against Washington St (twice) and Washington - two of the worst teams in D1 football. The Big 12 hasn't won, or even played, a marquee out of conference game. I'm not saying the conference sucks, but your logic certainly does.
