I thought it was impossible for an NFL team to perform worse than Art Shell's 2006 squad, but this year's Raider team is right about there.

You'd seriously have to TRY to suck in order to play as awful as Oakland does on offense.

There are a few bright lights on the team ... very few, but overall, I'm as disgusted as I've ever been about Raider football.


I don't see another win on the schedule.

Pops, this season is lost. Period.


All that remains is scouting who is good enough to keep around next year. The chop list, as previously reported, contains up to 15 players that will not be with the team next season. Curry has now come out and cried about not wanting to be on the team because his playing time was reduced (rightly so) to nil.


If we can sign a lineman or 5 in the offseason to free up Z. Miller to run his routes instead of staying put to help the blocking, and pick up a WR or 2 in the draft and free agency, we'll see the offense come alive with JRuss leading the way. We lead the league in catches dropped by far, and thats with JR not having any time and getting rid of the ball quickly. Next year, with a deece line, his passing stats will sparkle nearly as much as his stupid fucking bling does.


Our D, without Hall, looked damn good today against a very tough Panther squad. Some of the youngins are developing nicely, and many times they made the Panther O look like dogshit.


The team as a whole disgusts the everloving fuck out of me, and will continue to do so until I see the undeserving crybaby pussies who should've NEVER been on this team to begin with weeded out. Cunts.

I don't know, pop. I wanted the entire BAL-HOU game today and the Texans look arguably as bad as the 'Duhs offensively. Aside from flat out quitting in the fourth quarter, it wasn't like the Ravens were making plays, the Texans (i.e. Rosenfels) just gave the ball to them and didn't even try defensively. If the Texans were a high school team, they would be running suicides all fucking week.

James, I can understand having some optomism for next year, but I'm hard pressed to find good reason for it.

When Al couldn't make things work with Kiffin, continuity was once again thrown out the window.
Russell will be on his third head coach in just over two years.
That's no way to groom a young QB.
The way Kiffin was handling Russell, with all the dink and dump-off stuff, was not that fun to watch, but it was reasonably effective.
He was doing his best to let the guy find his footing, while eliminating costly mistakes.

When Kiffin was let go we saw some stability erode.
It's no coincidence that Russell's performance deteriorated along with the rest of the team.

Right now JaMarcus is a big kid who can rifle the ball if he wants to.
Aside from that ... I don't see him bringing much.

By contrast, Brady Quinn and Matt Ryan both look like legit players.
They are in better situations, to be sure, but some of Russell's current failings fall on his OWN big shoulders.

We DO have some capable players.
As noted, the lines need big help, and that is where it all starts in pro ball.

Al can hire another coach.
Ok.

I dropped Matt Ryan from my FFL just to get Jake this past week. I've been getting by halfway decent with Chad Pennington ( ), but I started Jake because he was playing the Raiders.

The Raiders as an entire organization is a huge mess...much like my loveable winless Lions. Their problem is that Al isn't going anywhere other than 6 feet under when his time is up. The good thing about having an awful GM is that they can be terminated and replaced. Al answers to no one and that's a scary thought for RaiderFan, I'm sure. I feel for you guys right now...really, I do. Considering this is a league that is so big on parity and competitive balance, there are still a small group of teams that just don't get it and continue to set themselves further and further behind everyone else.

The Raiders and the Lions are probably the two worst ran franchises in the league and they also happen to have two of the most passionate fanbases. They are torturing their loyal fans with the way they run their teams. The Lions are at the point where attendance is plummeting. I don't know how soon until McAfee starts to become a half-empty stadium on game days and they start having blackouts like in the Detroit area. Fans over here and fans in the Bay Area don't deserve what they are getting.

That's west coast team playing on the east coast. 3 hours jet lag plus a 3 hour earlier start time seems to be a bitch. Either that or they all suck.
