The human polls count 2/3, the computers 1/3. The humans could make it happen.

I would have no problem watching Texas play Oklahoma again in the MNC, if for other reason that to hear the howls coming from Meatgrinder fans.

Wouldn't be a bad matchup. I can think of much worse matchups, and I don't think that causes a move towards a playoff.

Example, Texas is 4th and 5th in the human polls and 2nd in the computers. Fla is 3rd in both human polls and forth in the computers. Texas is 3rd in the Bcs and fla is forth...

As for not making a statement for a playoff, 2 teams from the same conference with one not winning it's own championship + Petey crying + 2 unbeaten mid majors leftout = SEC fan starting their own playoffs and championship game.....

Why would Oregon St winning out be crucial to this plan anyway? That would just improve SC's SOS.

Well, they'd still technically be co-champs. The Pac doesn't use a tiebreaker to determine conference champs, only to determine who goes to the Rose Bowl. Not to mention, wouldn't it be even better (from an SC hater's perspective) if they won the Pac outright and still got left out? According to you, the computers will be enough to put OU and UT in the NCG anyway.
