How in hell did Alcula let this guy slip away?
Broncos bring back Tatum Bell
By Sports Network
The Sports Network
The Denver Broncos have come to terms on a contract with running back Tatum Bell to help fill their depleted backfield.

Bell signed Tuesday afternoon after auditioning for the club at a morning workout. Bell is expected to be in uniform for the Broncos when they travel to Atlanta to take on the Falcons on Sunday.

The 27-year-old Bell was released by the Lions prior to the start of this season. Denver's second-round pick out of Oklahoma State in 2004, Bell rushed for 921 yards and eight touchdowns in 2005, and followed that up by gaining 1,025 yards in 2006.

The Broncos dealt him to Detroit prior to the 2007 season in exchange for cornerback Dre' Bly, but Bell was beat out by Kevin Jones for the starting job, and only appeared in five games for the Lions, rushing for 182 yards.

Bell will help fill the void created by the losses of Michael Pittman, Andre Hall, and Ryan Torain to season-ending injuries.
Oh... unless you're from Detroit, maybe you missed this news nugget:
Tatum Bell Stole Rudi Johnson's Luggage! NFL Rant, Ex-Detroit Lions RB Gets Stupid
By Michael Luchies, published Sep 03, 2008

As you may have heard the Detroit Lions signed former Cincinnati Bengal's Pro-bowl running back Rudi Johnson to a one year contract. Once the Lions signed Johnson they released on-again off-again running back Tatum Bell. Bell had been sent to the practice squad, released, and re-signed all in the last year and a half. Being released after Johnson was signed must have been the final straw for Bell.

Johnson was in a meeting with the Detroit Lions team officials and had left his bags outside of GM Matt Millen's office. After the meeting was done Johnson and Millen went back to where his bags were.....and they weren't there. Did he misplace them or did someone actually take Rudi Johnson's luggage? Fortunately for the Lions, and probably every NFL team and professional sports team for that matter, they have video cameras. After checking the video cameras it's revealed that none other than Tatum Bell actually had the balls to take Rudi Johnson's luggage!

Are you serious? Are we back in pre-school?
You got a better grade than me so I'm going to steal your 2% milk carton.
If you get beat in a race you don't try to steal the other kids tennis shoes.

And in front of Millen's office?
Did Tatum Bell not know that there would be surveillance camera's by Matt Millen's office. Millen is one of the most hated sports figures in the Midwest, it's surprising there aren't armed guards outside of his office. There should be a police station built into Ford Field anyways. Rudi Johnson didn't release Tatum Bell; Bell should have stolen something from Matt Millen or Rod Marinelli. How about the team's supply of jock straps? All of the concession stands supply of ketchup, or the field goal posts.

This ranks right up there with Najeh Davenport pooping in a woman's closet and Nate Robinson trying to fight Malik Rose naked in the shower. Maybe if Bell used some of the intensity he used when he stole Johnsons bags out on the field he would have still been on the roster.

Rudi Johnson is not expected to press charges, but he is still missing $200, his ID, credit cards, and his clothes. Welcome to Detroit Rudi Johnson!

Getting bode on the Raiders is like getting bode on KC Paul.

If you're breathing, you've got bode.

i'll concede your point, R-Jack

Javon Walker, for instance: who'd he rape? other than Alcula.

And Javon was actually the assault-ee in Vegas, but that still counts, right?

MVP? didn't that go to Fav-Ray?

they obviously couldn't convince Floyd Little to give up retirement

rack shannahan's ability to Jedi mind trick opposing teams and luring them into a false sense of security

How pathetic is it when you are down by 2 with 14 seconds left and no time outs and you make two short passes up the middle?

who the fuck decided THAT was the way to pull out a game?

just when I think I've seen the last of his great Houdini's, he pulls off something like this....given the fact they've lost 4 running backs and not one of their starting linebackers was on the field, this ranks as one of his best coaching jobs....

fuck him for ruining my future rants

I'll believe Ratahan's a genius when he turns Tatum O'Neal into a running back.

I watched this guy play at BSU for three years....he's a fucking monstah and will be a pro-bowler at some point in the future

sat at an Alumni soiree table with him and (tried to) talk to him (he's really, really quiet)-he's a great kid-the kind you like seeing good things happening to

Clady was the Cheaps almost unanimous choice by most of the pickbots prior to draft day - Most expected him to fall since he came out as a Jr.

Interesting the Doinks went with picking him ahead of "can't miss" Braden Albert -

Props on once again getting ahead of the Cheaps "brain trust"

the Broncos desperately needed a left side tackle so them picking him was not that surprising...and obviously a great relief to me

amazing thing about it, this year he has given up 0 sacks and has only been called for 1 penalty, a false start....pretty remarkable when you consider some of the defensive ends he's lined up against...
