Gotta give love to Mack Brown and Colt McCoy. I know the Longhorns are loathed by most here but you can't ignore what happened today. Sure Texas beat a Kansas team they were supposed to but the win gave Texas a 10th win this year to make it 8 years in a row of at least 10 wins and year. And with the victory, Colt tied VY Black Jesus for most wins by a QB in school history. With a school with a deep historical presence that feat blows my mind. Anyway bash away, but this team is something fans and alumni are proud of.

i think a lot of people could "ignore" it if they chose to. a team record is not the kind of thing that makes non-homer board people get all touchy. like most UT fans, you need to get over the "we're persecuted because we are TEXAS" thing. so, i don't think most posters here at T1B "loathe" UT.

that said, I'm surprised Peter Gardere doesn't more wins than VY, he did play for four years.

I certainly don't. They were a nice addition to the Big 8.

And I'll RACK Tejas for doing KU dirty in Lawrence. Quantrill would've been proud.

Much obliged.

This T1B poster loathes Kansas like none other, of that you can be sure.

So, Mizzou wraps up the North tonight after bitchslapping Ioway State... doesn't mean we're going to take it any easier on the PukeHawks at Arrowhead stadium in Kansas City, motherfucking Missouri in two weeks.

And just a warm-up for whichever South team wins the coin toss/beauty pageant.

The whole Gardere the OU Slayer has to be given a context though. Gardere wnet 25-16 as a starter with 2 losing seasons. He is the only UT QB to beat OU 4 times but it is not like OU was a national powerhouse during those years. But I'll rejoice in the memories anyway. Also I guys the board does not "loathe" Texas, but it was hard to eat crow for all those years when they were tanking the big games and getting waxed by OU a few years back.

like you have to tell me that. However we were killers in the Gibbs years compared to the 4 years that followed.

Don't feel too bad. While Texas during that span went to one bowl game and got hammered by Miami 46-3. Definitely a down time for both fan bases.
