Adel,
Seriously, this is a great gas grill for tailgating. I use it at home a lot too. While I typically use charcoal, sometimes on a weeknight, I just want a grilled chicken breast or a burger quick. This thing never dissapoints.
Grill, closed.
Once open, there are "wings" that fold out for work area.
Plenty of real estate to cook.
Optional stand so you don't have to put it on a tailgate or the ground.
Optional griddle pan as well so you can make fried eggs, pancakes, french toast, etc. while camping.
Uses the little propane cylinders or you can put a full propane tank on the stand. When I tailgate, I bring the little propane cylinders for convenience. When I use at home, I leave it attached to a bigger tank. Propane is cheaper that way.
As I said before, I like to use wood and charcoal usually to get a little smoke flavor. With my Weber Q Gas grill, I use a cast iron smoker box. Just put wood chips and pour a little beer in with them. Gives a nice smoke to whatever you are cooking.
Now, Weber Q is about $170 and another $40 for the stand. Not the $19 walmart grill, but much more durable. I have had mine for 3 years now and use it all the time. Still good as new.
Here's one last thing that makes the Weber Q nice. Has a carrying case you can buy to make travel with it easier. Has wheels on it and you can pull it like luggage. Pricey at $50, but worth it.
Oh, and another great tailgating appliance is the Coleman Heat N Serve Propane Crock Pot. I got one of these for Christmas a couple years back. For when you make a chili or soup, you can travel with it in an enclosed bowl and heat up at the tailgate. Heats food up fast. I think this thing is only like $40 and another $20 or less for the case. Good buy.
Here's a picture showing a carrying case you can buy too for the Crock Pot. Very convenient.
