THE (In) Game

If you want a textbook example of a blown opportunity...see what Michigan just did. The Bucks will probably take the ball right down on them and score and take full control of momentum in the early going. I don't see Pryor making many mistakes today other than that bad throw in the first possession.

Unbelievable...Ohio State looks sluggish offensively to start and Michigan seems content to give away chances to score early. It could be some nerves but it's only a matter of time before the Buckeyes hit something big.

The Michigan defense has shown up today...gotta love their aggressive in the early going.

Michigan is going to be like Dan Vogel today: A Beanie's bitch.

Shit...there's THAT play to break the ice. The offense doesn't look like they're going to be able to move the ball today. Missing that kick on the opening possession is really going to haunt them if this will be a low scoring game.

Ball game...

Set your feet, Nick...

The Buckeye defense is going balls out...showing no respect for anything Michigan can do offensively. It's not like they should be afraid of the passing game.

for UM to have come up short on that 4th down on the goal-line would have been devastating.

and no hesitation from RichRod to go, either.

Glad they didn't settle for the kick...had to get a tuddy on that trip down there. Minor is getting involved in the offense and the outlook in this game is changing. Can't let up and give up any cheap points to end this half...14-7 would be an acceptable score at the break.

After 30 minutes, they're hanging in...I give them credit. I really thought that second big TD was enough to break it open. The Buckeyes are in for a fight or this might just be a carbon copy of the Penn State game where the Wolverines play one good half and then get worked in the second half. Brandon Minor has to continue to get carries...he has to be the second half MVP is Michigan is going to win this game.

Take away 2 big plays for OSU and they have really done nothing. Buckeys look nothing but average. They better hope the Beavers wind up PAC10 champs because if USC sneaks into the Rose Bowl the Buckeyes may want to throw this game and let Mich St get pounded in the BCS.

Buckeyes let em back in the game. Re-group and shut down UM's 1st possession in 2nd half. If not..well.

You bring up the first possession...it is a good chance for Michigan to continue to build momentum. Even if they get three on this opening chance, it'll hopefully snowball for them and they may truly hang in. The defense got some rest but the offense needs to possess the ball longer in the second half.

They seem to have found a weakness in the defense...it's pretty bad when the ball carrier just needs to get past the line of scrimmage and then it's nothing but open field. I don't know if they are overloading one have of the field or what...it's proving to be the difference right now. Three monster runs today...two by Wells.

3rd down and 13 and Sheridan attempts a run up the middle?

The Wolverines have no business getting cute with their playcalling. Go with things that have worked...don't go off the board.

Another big play...this time in the return game. Now, this one out of reach. 28-7... :x

What a cluster fuck that play was...nice work by Pryor but what the hell was the secondary doing on that play?

Pryor's good at doing that. You can't let up on him but UM kept him in check while in the pocket for most part. Secondary simply gave up.

OK. Let's get Todd in and let him finish the game. I would have played him in the 2nd quarter.

I think we just found a team Washington State and Washington can beat....

... it's Michigan.

That could be the worst team I've seen all year.

the truth

This year's Michigan team was awful but Washington and Washington State are complete and utter abominations.

Already counting down the days until next season...I want this year to be a distant memory. Tate Forcier...save us!

No way they're worse than either of those two. UM has more wins than those teams combined, two of which came against bowl-bound teams. Seems like a pretty case-closed argument to me.
