I'd say Sharpe & Bruce Smith would be locks.
If i had to pick two more John Randle was pretty dominant and Rod Woodson was a stud.

R. McDaniel made 12 pro-bowls.

I don't know how he gets left off.

And the winners are...

Cris Carter, WR: 1987-89 Philadelphia Eagles, 1990-2001 Minnesota Vikings, 2002 Miami Dolphins.- A straight up playmaker. All he does is catch touchdowns.

Charles Haley, DE/LB: 1986-1991, 1999 San Francisco 49ers, 1992-96 Dallas Cowboys.- The best tweener DE-LB I have ever seen

Shannon Sharpe, TE: 1990-99, 2002-03 Denver Broncos, 2000-01 Baltimore Ravens.- Even if he wasn't the most prolific pass catching TE in history, would deserve Hall consideration for inducing Derrick Thomas' epic meltdown on MNF.

Bruce Smith, DE: 1985-1999 Buffalo Bills, 2000-03 Washington Redskins.- The best DE this side of Deacon Jones

Paul Tagliabue, Commissioner: 1989-2006 National Football League.- He was the business face of the NFL during a period of labor peace unparalleled in modern professional sport

Rod Woodson, CB/S: 1987-1996 Pittsburgh Steelers, 1997 San Francisco 49ers, 1998-2001 Baltimore Ravens, 2002-03 Oakland Raiders.- Member of NFL's all 75th anniversary team. Enough said.

This is one deep fucking class. There are at least 10 guys who won't make it this year who will be in the Hall within the next 10 years.

Wow. I was putting together a list and it’s exactly the same as BSmack’s, with Russ Grimm added in. Damn, Bri’s smarter than I thought.

I hope Modell never makes it.

[Donovan McNabb]I thought the limit was 6.[/Donovan McNabb]

With one more I'd also take Grimm. He was THE guy you think of when you think of the Hogs. How he's not already in the hall is an absolute mystery. Did he accidentally eat a sportswriter?

mvscal said 4 to 7, so that's what I went with. I figured he was smarter than Donovan.

It sounds like they could go deeper than seven if they wanted to.
There is no set number for any class of enshrinees but, the Board's current ground rules do stipulate that between four and seven new members will be selected each year. The 1973 and 1976 classes of three were the smallest ever named.

See, I would read that as meaning they can select 4, 5, 6 or 7 enshrinees each year. I'm wearing loafers by the way.

In 1994, Ray Guy was named the punter on the National Football League's 75th Anniversary Team.

Don't be a dumbshit.

I don't see how that dude is a HOFer. He was good but kind of like another Richmond Webb.....made Pro Bowls by name recognition. Randall McDaniel was way more dominant as an O-lineman.

Why is Cortez Kennedy even eligible? He had like 3 really good years and that's it.

And Craig to me is a shoe-in. He was the original Marshall Faulk.

Sure, Craig had some of the same attributes that Faulk had, but he was nowhere near the player Faulk was.

Herschel Walker was a superior player to Roger Craig and he's not getting in.

Craig is one of those who belong in the Hall of Very Good.

Because the Seattle writers must REALLY like him.
