USC to lose 1 timeout per half on saturday

USC has decided that they are going to wear their home uniforms in the cross town game vs UCLA in the Rosebowl this weekend. UCLA is also wearing their home uniforms. The staffs at both schools decided they were going to do this last summer when neuheisal first spoke to carroll about it. Apparently even if both schools decide it is OK, the NCAA has a rule against it however and will charge the Trojans with a timeout in each half of the game that they wear their cardinal jerseys.
Would be a nice gesture of the Gutties to waste a timeout per half but that will likely be moot.
Another rule the NCAA needs to work on, if the teams agree to both wear their home unis, there's no reason to punish the visiting team

is there some larger significance to this?

I seem to remember a few Rose Bowls back in the 70s/early 80s in which both USC and UCLA wore their home unis even when they were the designated visiting team. Or maybe it was just UCLA.

Easy - they're turning into bitches. They're growing tits, and they're simpering about their uniforms. Their fans are increasingly less represented by the likes of GreginPG and Jimmah Meds, and resembling SchmickWagon more each day...swelling to burst after a win, and weeping like infants after losses. Their linebackers are wearing pink spandex gear in fall practice, and their alums are growing clouds of hair and speaking in high-pitched, soft tones like Troy P.
Yes, a complete gender transformation...or maybe they've just become a little full of themselves.

Prior to 1982, both teams played their home games at the Coliseum and both would wear their home unis when they played eachother. Fans have been saying that even though UCLA plays in Pasadena now they'd still like to see both teams playing in their home unis.Carroll has asked the UCLA coaches about it each summer before the season and Neuheisal agreed it was a good idea
