Why would RJ have anything to say about Lawrence Taylor? [/obligitory]
Does anyone else see the trend?
Raiders imploding in spectacular fashion at home against division rivals and going into their yards and going ass to mouth on their turf?
Look for that to continue
Raiders- 23
Dolts- 10
I'll go sig bet if you want it. It won't be worth much seeing how you're not likely going to see enough of me this next week to enjoy it. Maybe hit up 'tart.
..I'll bite R-Jack, tart's not much for sig bets, and James is all blow. Props to you for stepping up.

In other news, I read where the NFL network had to buy up all the unsold tickets to keep the game from being blacked out in the SD area.
This in a year in which they were supposed to contend for the SuperBowl.
Yep, Charger fan sure is a loyal, diehard bunch.

...Wags, you forget....they are playing the Raiduhs. The Trev's of the world can't unload their tickets this year, the prison system in Cali doesn't hand out weekend passes on Thursday.

Care to dispute Michael Turners numbers with Crydanian?
Didnt fucking think so. Stop your pathetic crying-Bitchlinsuck has declined sharply....like
most backs that age do. Rarely do you see guys like Marcus Allen, Marshall Faulk, and other exceptions to the rule last until thier mid 30's and be highly effective the way they were. Edgerrin James, Jamal Anderson, Jamal Lewis, Shaun Alexander, and a shitload of other backs have ALL seen serious decline in thier late 20's/early 30's. Just so happens your guy isnt one of the exceptions.
Deal with it and be thankful you had a player like that helped turned your shit franchise around.
We're still looking for that player to emerge on our own squad, obviously.
Congrats on the win. We absolutely fucking suck.

It's 12 games into McFadden's rookie season, and Russell isn't much further ahead of that.
I'd hesitate to throw the words BUST and FAILURE around, but hey, you are the troof, so who am I to argue.
Neither guy has really done jack squat yet as a pro, yep.
I'll just leave it at that for now.

I will say this much about the Raiders. Their defense didn't give up in the second half. Other than that bit of silver lining, there's not much good to say.

I don't buy the "upgraded basic" package just for MNF. In fact, believe it or not, I don't buy it just for ESPN. Do you?
Fact is, we have a regularly scheduled Boy Scout meeting (I'm the committee chairman) on Monday nights, so I actually watch it rarely and then only for about the 1st qtr.
I watch TCM, Discovery, The History Channel, A&E, BRAVO, etc., etc. a helluva lot more than I watch MNF. And the wife would pay for it just to get HGTV. So I'd say that yes ESPN is free, or at least a side benefit of buying the whole package.
And I definitely don't consider that paying to watch the NFL.

yeah, J-Russ should be putting up Pro-Bowl numbers with those game breaking receivers and stellar offensive line.
Only three games left in this abortion of a season. The only satisfaction I can get after watching last night's game is knowing we'll have a new coach. Hopefully Davis we'll follow thru on his promise to get help upstairs.

ESPN is free? Bwahaha. Just so you know, Corky, if you could break down the cost of your cable/satellite bill by channel, ESPN would be by far the largest single component. So yes, any time you’ve watched MNF in the past two years, you’ve paid to watch the NFL.
BTW, when you pay your Federal taxes, do you tell yourself how happy you are that none of your money is going to the Iraq war, it’s all going to fund education?

I guess if I've ever bought any product advertised on any NFL game then I've paid to watch the NFL.
I was referring to *directly* paying to watch an NFL game. I guess in the future I should be more careful and more specific so that extra thick dickwads like you won't have a chance to parse my statements.

Even if he had a better WR core and offensive line I don't think it would matter much. His passes are terribly inaccurate even when he has time to throw.

It's true about his accuracy.
He's not thrown that many picks, but he's just plain MISSED too many recievers this year.
Way below average in that regard for an NFL starter.
I will say that he has picked-up his decision making time as the season has worn on, though.
He was sluggish and slow early in the year but has made improvement with his "quickness" as time has gone on.
The whole thing with the Raiders is a clusterfuck, so I don't know how you can accurately evaluate a 23 yr old QB who is standing in the middle of it.
They DESPERATELY need to get some stability in coaching and enviornment for him, or yeah, it's gonna continue to be very rough for him next year.
The jury is out on Russell.
He's still a "kid" by NFL standards.
