Way too much north-south running for that to be Barry's kid. If I were Barry I'd punch the mailman.

Too much north-south running? Sort of necessary for the end-around don't you think?

More like too busy running up the gut on 3rd and 26 down by 37 late in the second half.

I first thought you were talking about this moron--
Back on topic--the best I ever saw while I was officiating a high school game was Mike Hart
who put in a pretty good 4 years at Michigan. The kid amazed me---I'd see him coming to a hole
that was shut down and within the blink of an eye he would appear someplace else ! It was a
"WOW" moment with him. Second best was Dorsey Levens who had a decent career playing the sport.
I did not work a game here when Noel Devine played for North Fort Myers, but my fellow
South Gulf Football Officials say he was the best from here.

Barry Sanders was maybe the greatest pro and college runner ever so this boy has large shoes to try to fill. But if he is really just a freshman he is pretty darn good looking. He made some nice moves on that run. I'd like to see more of him in the future. Good luck to him.

There are literally thousands of kids with sweet highlight clips. Let's see where they are when they're 20 years old or so.
How many "next Barry Sanders" kids suffer injuries at some point that take the edge off of their game?
Barry Sanders was unique - we'll never see a guy like that again. I am still amazed that he and Thurman Thomas shared a backfield at Oklahoma State. That might have been the purest concentration of tailback talent on a CFB team possibly ever.

I saw the SU Orange play when Floyd Little and Larry Czonka were in the same backfield. Not too shabby !

BTW...
That kid is the next Barry Sanders even if he never plays another game.
