If any of you are interested you can catch both of the Texas 5A title games on the net.
http://www.kfrdradio.com
Between the two games about 30 kids with commitments or with offers. AJ Highsmith is the qb in the second game. Yes, that Highsmith.
First game kicks at 2:00pm central, second game kicks at 7:00 pm central.
Maybe I will run a contest to see who emails in the quickest after a oneboard shoutout. T-shirt or lid or something with the first email response.

They never were a part of my budget, but I’m willing to stop by and drop a squirt or two if it will keep you gainfully employed for 90 days. I’m here to help.

At least Texas gets to play it off, fucking California has a Bowl Game system that pits teams from the north vs those in the south.
Open- Long Beach Poly 14-0 vs. Sacramento Grant 13-0
D1- Corona Centennial 14-0 vs Concord De La Salle 12-1
D2- San Diego Cathedral Catholic 13-0 vs Stockton St Mary's 12-2
D3- Ventura St. Bonaventure 13-1 vs Santa Rosa Cardinal Newman 13-0
Small Schools- San Juan Capistrana St. Margarets 14-0 vs Hamilton City 10-2

Who is actually playing in the game, I stopped following the playoffs when SA Madison was knocked out. I sure do love me some big time high school football, but living in Utah that does not exist.

off the top of my head, i'm going to go with....
allen/hightower in one and wylie/katy in the other.

And off the top of your head you would be correct. Houston burbs vs Dallas burbs.
Allen and Wylie are in the same district (conference) and if both win it would be the second time in history that both state champions came out of the same district.

2 games were played yesterday, St Margarets and Corona centenial both fucked the No Cal pussies in the mouth, So cal is 2-0 this year. and St Bonaventure vs Cardinal Newman just started
Since the state bowls have started the south is 7-1 vs those tree hugging, water hording, liberal voting, feCal cheering faggots from the north

Great pics of Lake Tahoe. Make it there once a year to ski. Best thing about it though is half of it is in Nevada and you don't have to fly into or stay in Cali.

Not even close.
There's nothing to do on the Nevada side other than gamble.
So you fly into Reno, Nevada by choice ?
You do know it only takes a couple of hours to drive there from the Bay Area, right ?
I hope Dins doesn't find this thread.... and finds out you'd rather land and be in NORTHERN Nevada.

According to state polls, Grant was the second best team in Northern California, De La salle was the best.
Most the people down here had said Centenial was better than Long Beach Poly but the Pac 5 champ is going to be sent to the open game unless its a smaller private school. That sends the Inland champ to the D1 game

That's nice.
Look at where the "polls" have $C playing in their bowl game.
Grant would kill De La Salle and you know it.
Grant was undefeated and De La Salle had a loss.
The best high school team in California.... is in NORTHERN California.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Rack that. Actually laughed out loud.
.m2,
By half I meant that it has shorelines in both states. I have no idea nor do I care the exact percentage of the lake that is in each state. Further, yes I do know that one can fly into the bay area and drive to Tahoe. But why anyone would do that is beyond me. First of all Reno is 55 miles from Heavenly, Sacramento is 120 from Heavenly, and Oakland is about 200 miles from Heavenly. Now if we want to take traffic into consideration this makes Reno even more of an attractive option.
As for what can be done on the Nevada side? You can ski Heavenly.
As for going back and forth about which part of the state has a better team, why not just have a playoff.

two of my good buddies grew up in Tahoe City and I spent two summers there and one ski season back in the mid 90's....flying into Reno is the only thing that makes sense. though the highway from Reno to Truckee can be pretty hairy in the snow/ice.

Agreed.
That is why I suggest heading south towards Carson City and then taking 50 west.
