The first surprise of the bowl season

in my opinion, is Paul Johnson's squad laying down and just taking it. God, this is sad. Throw out the records, LSU is still talented and well coached; so a win isn't surprising, but this sort of massacre IS surprising. Especially when you consider how battle-tested Ga Tech was, playing in so many close games and coming out on top in most of them. Just didn't see this coming.

well coached, lsu??
i dont know, Sabans seniors won that national title for LSU. This is all Les Miles kids and he can't go .500 in conference. Lets add, that his team last year got worked by Kentucky and beat up physically by Arkansas. Lets not crown Miles as anything yet.
Same with Bo pelini. his defense at times looked like swiss cheese. His team beat no one at Nebraska this season, a farce of a record, and he's getting accolades. Please people, lets wait and see.
i'm starting to see a poor trend for Gundy. He's more worried about creating drives on the sidelines(turning his back on game), than worrying about what the defense is doing. Never seen a coach do that, and the way they finished out, u would think he would be a tad more worried about the defense.
Next year will be put up or shut up for Pelini,Pinkel, Gundy, etc. Especially the $$$ gundy has in his program, and the new contract Pinkel got. Pelini with a bowl win will have big expectations, any regression will cause a meltdown. The idiot coach meltsdown on the sidelines weekly.
Big12 North will be a cripple fight

Settle down, Adel. A modest "well coached" tag, based on his resume at this juncture with Okie St and LSU isn't unreasonable.

I don't usually put a ton of stock in these arguments. Of course talent was a part of it, but plenty of coaches fail with talent. Winning the MNC still takes proper preparation, focus, and execution.

Even in a thread about LSU your OCD compels you to blast Neb? Give it a rest. Bo is in his first. year as a HC. He inherited a D that was ranked almost fifty spots lower than it is now. That is while having to plug-in a considerable amount of inexperienced walk-ons in on defense. Bo has made first-year errors. For example his D-scheme for the Mizzou-game worked in theory but our guys weren't nearly ready to execute it and fake-kick call vs CU that he openly calls moronic. He has obviously had ugly tantrums but not every week, he was significantly better later in the season. How is our record a farce? Two of our four losses could have went either way. Every win was by two scores or more. We did beat a decent KU-squad. We weren't gangbusters by any means. I'm not nominating Bo for coach of the year. But considering we were a 5-7 squad that folded like an accordian last season I'd say we've made progress.
As far as LSU goes it makes a huge difference having weeks rather than days to work-on stopping the option. GTech would've kept this one interesting if the game was in November. It certainly helped that LSU had good qb-play, next year should be interesting.

theory???
wow, just imagine if he had no theories, they would of lost by 50+. his theory led to a 20+ loss at home.
Pelini and Nebraska fans talk a ton of shit, so i'm sure the pink shirts will come to Columbia and whip MU by 20+. Since all Husker fans believe they would whip MU right at this moment.

But since Bo has a Theory that had Daniel close to 300 yards passing at Halftime, i anxiously await his theory to become a hypothesis.
Your head coach is a jerkoff, it will be funny to watch him melt down weekly for another year.

For the love of God or G0D; where are these people?
Pelini talks shit? Link!
I've NEVER heard anyone with an ounce of common sense say NU would beat MU by 20+ inside the borders of this state.
Let's see, you hear one fucking MU hater bag on MU on a fucking message board, trolling to get yer goat and any other MU fan who takes the bait; and everyone in Nebraska must feel the same as said idiot poster..
Yer hated is showing (again)...I guess it's safe to say you don't believe in resolutions.
Must be hell to live a life realizing no matter how hard your team tries, it will never reach the level of success of the one you hate. And your team's best chance in your lifetime, just went bye-bye.
Happy New Year!

holy fuck, huskerpedia, blackshirts, etc you name it, NU fans talking shit. One had a quote from unnamed coach, saying they would beat MU now.
I guess they have tested the theories in one of the labs, and they have the recipe for success. The sooner the game comes, the better, Gabbert and the gang put up another 40+ , and pink shirts go back home, praying MU loses weekly, so they can claim co-champs while sitting home during big12 championship.
i heard it 3 years ago on this board, Nebraska was back. I told them then, your team isn't back to anywhere. It played out pretty much as i said. Now Nebraska is going to be back again! Hooray. If you keep telling yourself it, it might eventually come true. Key word being Eventually.
Were back!
