Can't remember which one of them made that insightful statement during the halftime, but the other one was nodding in approval as if something profound had just been unveiled.

I never understood the thought that the 'and one' would solve anything for just this reason. It doesn't clear anything up. Besides this situation, it could make a team that is a clear-cut undeated #1 have to play another game against another 1-loss team for no reason.

8 team playoff [highest ranked teams], use 6 bowls in rotation for quarter-final, and semi-final and have a national championship game. Regular season remains relevent, conferences can still have their money making championship game. Simple.

If Texas wins, you could have a sweet 4-team playoff with Texas, USC, Utah and the winner of Florida-Oklahoma.

i agree with this. after the cruel 3 week night game stretch of OU-Tech, OU-OSU, and OU-Mizzou i heard Kirk and Brent ballgag every team on planet earth as number 1.

i used to tolerate Herbstreit but i think he fucking sucks. listening to him for 3 hours is horrible. Gary Danielson is Vin Scully compared to Kirk. though, Bob Davie still sucks more. jesus bob, how many times are you gonna say "it's like i said before"?
