Props to FSU for the home and home, but it's still in state. At least it s against an up and coming program as opposed to FIU or FAU.

USF has been trying to get us to play for a while. I think the school heard a earful after scheduling two D1AA teams this year.
Next year our OOC is USF, Maine, BYU, and the gates. One D1AA school is one too many for me.
2010 we got BYU, Oklahoma, the gates and a open spot. Will probably end up with another D1AA
2011 we got Oklahoma, Air Force, the gates and a open spot. Will probably end up with another D1AA
2012 we got West Virginia, USF, Air Force, and the gates
Is TAMU have open dates in 2010 and 2011? Maybe FSU and TAMU can hook up again.

That is nothing. Texas always mans up and gets a home and not home against mighty in state rivals every year. Rice, UTEP, to name a few. Hell they even played a risky game a couple of years ago against Sam Houston State. Too bad they won't play Abilene Christian so we could finally learn the real truth about how long McCoy and Shipley have known each other.

ouch, on that Shipley/McCoy blast (somewhere Brent Musberger is smiling, and it's not because of the roofie he gave 17 year old Ulrich)....but here's how you do the Rice, Houston thing as a UT fan: "traditional SWC conference rival".
when OU plays Rice, they are "cupcake" according to UT fans.
no disrespect to Lefty here and the Owls good season and bowl W, just speaking historically.

Yes. South Florida is an up and coming "program". While thier team has enjoyed a bit of recent success, their "program" isn't "there" yet. "There" meaning perennial top-notch teams. They are damn well ahead of the curve though compared to other programs historically.

IN!!!
I thought everything died when the plan to play in Jacksonville fell through, but this turned out much better. Already looking forward to the road trip and we also have Miami coming to Tampa in November, so this is shaping up to be a very nice schedule for us.
M Club, I highly doubt USF would be favored going to Tallahassee in 2009. We lost most of our OL (which wasn't great to begin with) and 2 of our starting LB's, so it's not the best way to go up against FSU. Having Selvie coming back will certainly help.
