Yes and no. Men are prone to fight, with or without "old guys" sending them anywhere. One could say other men exploit this proclivity for their own personal gain, I think history would support that assertion. But going further back to days prior to "old guys" gathering together and conspiring against the "young guys" to send them to their death - young guys found a way to kill each other too. The primordial instinct to kill - and not just for food or survival - exists in varying degrees in all men.
