I guess there'll be a handshake after their next game...

New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick issued the following statement on Josh McDaniels on Monday, January 12, 2009:

"Josh McDaniels is one of the finest people and brightest, most talented coaches I have ever worked with. Since joining us eight years ago, Josh performed a variety of roles and excelled in every one of them. Between his work on defense, in scouting, player evaluation and coordinating the offense, Josh is a very well-rounded coach whose outstanding body of work speaks for itself. He is the product of a pure football environment which is evident in his approach to the game. On behalf of the entire Patriots organization, we thank Josh for tremendous success in New England and congratulate him and the McDaniels family for this most deserving opportunity for advancement."

It seems McDaniels left on better terms than that douchebag, Mangenius. Props to Josh and congrats Dungver on a great hire.

Mangenius left on shit terms. He never told the Pats about interviewing for the Jets job. In fact, New England only found out dude was leaving when the fucker tried hiring some Pats coaches to be part of his staff in New York. Belichick then barred Mangenius from Gillette and all other NE property, boxed up all his formers assistant's shit, and dumped it on a curb somewhere along Route 1.

From here, I think you know the rest of the story.

Irrelevant question and not what's being debated, but I will answer: No I do not.

However. I've never "not given notice" before leaving a job and didn't try taking any of my co-workers to my new place of employment surreptitiously either. Furthermore, I never signed a contract and MA is an "at-will" state. Any more stupid questions I can answer for you, Screw?

in the NFL, you're required to do so- otherwise it's considered to be tampering

Yes, folks, you did read that right.

A guy who claimed to be some sort of "sports journalist" (yet is one of the worst writers here) just shared his ignorance of NFL coaching contracts, something I'm sure even the most casual of fans AND trev even knew.

:bigshocker: the "journalist" thing was only a stepping stone to jizzmopping.

PSSSST! Hey Screwey! I'll let you in on a little secret (read: not secret at all) -- it's the same dealio with college coaches.

Blow the Plumber doesn't have the ethics nor morals to pass on being a media member covering a war when he believes the media shouldn't be covering wars in the first place. Dumbfuck should have just said "You know what? I don't believe the media should be covering wars, so I'll pass on this, thank you." No surprise to see the level of dumbfuckery in this thread by mv, dins and Blubber.

You're not very good at this "deflection" thing.

YOU were the one trying to compare an NFL coach's employment terms to that of UCant.

It wasn't me, it wasn't mv, and it wasn't Goobs...

It was YOU.

Dumbfuck.
