Speaking of weirdness, here's the MSDS (material safety data sheet) for water---yes--WATER.
http://fscimage.fishersci.com/msds/00199.htm
I have to deal with this on my job. We are due an inspection soon and I'm sure they will find something that is not according to regulations no matter how hard I try to make everything compliant. And there are people who really think we have a free market system in the US ??

So...you're a scientist, and you're wailing about adhering to technical specs?

You fail to see any humor in the MSDS for freaking water ??
Fortunately the labs here don't use any really nasty stuff, the organic chem lab making some waste that needs special handling.
I'm the science lab technician in building H here at Edison State College. I keep things running for biology, chemistry, physics, and ocenaography labs. Fun and stress free job--the worst thing that has happened so far is the water deionizer broke down and I have to replace it with a new up-to-date energy efficient model. Rack NanoPure !

Damn treehugging PC assholes. They're forcing the energy efficient model on you? What happened to the free market?

I stand corrected. You blaming The Man because you don't like to carry out your job functions is indeed pretty funny.

Is that was this thread was about? I read it twice and still couldn't figure it out.
Honestly, the guy came across as the Afrikaner Dinsdale...at a certain point, you lose consciousness.
