(!) 1,000th post (!)

by Nolesy
As I approach the milestone of my 1,000th post I find my self wondering what I should hang up in here to mark said occasion.
Any picture posting is out as that is far beyond my abilities.
Perhaps a re-set of some of the " high/low lights'\" over the years. Maybe a top 10 list of best/ worst posters over the years. A list of FSU's players that have been arrested since the boards inception,... nah to much typing.
Suggestions?

This one should be a no brainer...
FSU hotties. New ones too, not just the same old pics of Jen and her crew.
Pic posting is definitely
not out.
-Find a pic you like online
-Right click
-Click on "Properties," at the very bottom
-Highlight the url address
-Right click
-Click on "Copy"
-Create your post. Type in

, immediately following the appearance of that url you just copied and pasted.
It will look like something like this in your post...

Here's an example...
Now, granted, she's standing inside a classroom and she's standing at the blackboard holding a piece of chalk. So, she's obviously not an FSU co-ed. If she were she'd have a bottle of Boone's Farm in one hand and a cock in the other, with a second cock nutting on her forehead.
Also, her mouth would be full and she wouldn't be such a good speller.
Still, you get the idea.

You drastically overestimate Nolesy's keyboard skills even if your Mendoza Line is breathing.
Still...solid dude. Pre-rack on the 1k to come if he can find the Submit button 7 more times.

Nolesy wrote:ok, I'll bite. What is a url adress?
Look to the top of your computer screen. See the address bar there at the very top? Right now it reads "
viewtopic.php?yadayada..."
It's a long coded address.
That's the url address for the page you're currently viewing. No other page on the internet shares that exact same url address.
Now, scroll up to that Rhoads Scholar girl I dropped in this thread. Place your mouse cursor directly on top of that picture. Now, right click your mouse. A menu will pop up. At the bottom of that menu will be the word "Properties." Left click on "Properties."
The url address for that pic will pop up.
Now all you have to do is highlight that url address, by left clicking and running your mouse cursor over that entire address. Doing this will highlight the url address in blue. Once you've highlighted the entire thing in blue you then right click again. That will bring up that same menu you saw before. This time however you left click on "Copy."
Now you've copied (stored) that url address.
To paste that url address into a thread here you right click again and when the menu pops up you left click on "Paste." Now you've pasted (included) that url address into the thread.
Now you bracket that url address with .
When you're done it'll look like
Leave no blank spaces on either side of the url address.
It's very simple. The entire process takes under five seconds.

Ok, let me get the next round of Nolesy questions for you in advance.
Van wrote:Nolesy wrote:ok, I'll bite. What is a url adress?

Mine just says Dell at the top of the computer screen.
It's a long coded address.
That's the URL address for the page you're currently viewing. No other page on the internet shares that exact same URL address.
Page? coded address? is this kind of like your zip code and then those last 4 numbers that no one knows?
Now, scroll up to that Rhoads Scholar girl I dropped in this thread. Place your mouse cursor directly on top of that picture. Now, right click your mouse. A menu will pop up. At the bottom of that menu will be the word "Properties." Click on "Properties."
The URL address for that pic will pop up.
^^^^ I have gone ahead and underlined some words that are confusing me. ^^^^
Now you've stored that URL address.
Where?
To paste that URL address into a thread here you have to type in [img] and then you right click again and when the menu pops up you hit "Paste." Now you've dropped that URL adress into the thread.
Mmmmmm.....paste.
It's very simple. The entire process takes under five seconds.
If it is so simple, why did you spend five minutes typing out how to do it in 5 seconds?
Sin,
Nolesy

Bwaahahaa!!!!
Okay, fine.
Look, now that he knows what to look for I'm confident that he
will locate the portion of his screen which is currently displaying the
http://the oneboard.com/board/viewtopic.phb?.... script.
His eyes
will land on it, now that he knows to look for it. Once he finds it he'll know what a url address looks like.
Nolesy, you see where the url address is located, inside that loooooooooong rectangle there near the top of the page? That's where the url address for anything will always be located.
It's a long coded address.
That's the URL address for the page you're currently viewing. No other page on the internet shares that exact same URL address.
Page? coded address? is this kind of like your zip code and then those last 4 numbers that no one knows?
Okay...
The part of your computer monitor (the big tv picture looking thing) that says "Dell" or "Sony" or "Hewlett Packard"? That's NOT what we're talking about here.
No, when we mention "page" we're talking about the pictures and words that appear on the
screen, which is the glass portion of the monitor; where you view the stuff that changes all the time.
"Scroll" means you use the little knurled wheel on the top of your mouse (in this case the "mouse" is typically the bean shaped plastic device which is about four inches long. It's the thing sitting on top of your computer table, adjacent to your keyboard. It has a long, plastic covered wire sticking out its rear) to roll the screen up or down. "Scrolling" allows you to quickly skip portions of the page you don't wish to view, by jumping forward or by jumping ahead on the screen, in an up and down linear fashion.
"Cursor" means the constantly moving little arrow, "Hamburger Helper" looking gloved hand or Roman column capital "I" shaped figure you see dancing willy nilly all over the screen of your computer whenever you grasp the mouse and move it around with your hand.
Go ahead and do it, right now. Grasp the mouse. (The
other mouse, you freak.) Move the mouse in circles, and watch what happens to the screen you're viewing.
See the movement on the screen? See that little dude that moves in the same direction as the movements of your mouse?
That's your cursor. Think of it as your pointer, like an index finger for your computer. When you want to specify something on the screen you're viewing you "point to it" by rolling that mouse around until the cursor has landed on the item you wish to specifiy.
A "menu" is a list of command choices you will be given when you right click on your mouse. (Your mouse has two clickable buttons on top: a left button and a right button. "Left click" means you should click the left button. "Right click" means you should click the right button.)
When you right click on a picture you will see a menu pop up.
Go ahead and try it. Place your cursor right on top of the girl. Hell, place it right in the shadowed crevasse of her ass. Wiggle it around there a bit, as if it were your face. Now, right click on your mouse.
The thing that just popped up, totally fucking up your view of her ass? That's a menu.
It says words like "Copy," "Paste" and "Properties," among many other words.
Now you've stored that URL address.
Where?
Inside the mouse. Think of it that way. The mouse has eaten the url address for you, but don't worry. When you need to get that url address back the mouse will happily barf it back up for you, none the worse for wear.
To paste that URL address into a thread here you have to type in [img] and then you right click again and when the menu pops up you hit "Paste." Now you've dropped that URL adress into the thread.
Mmmmmm.....paste.
Exactly. Paste can be your friend, in a multitude of ways. It's not just what's for dinner anymore. Sure, it can be a nummy treat which then allows you to view the world differently. It can
also be a command which allows you to post pics so that your friends on the internet might gain a clearer understanding of those things which typically motivate you to masturbate.
It's very simple. The entire process takes under five seconds.
If it is so simple, why did you spend five minutes typing out how to do it in 5 seconds?
Sin,
Nolesy

A few things...
RACK Nolesy. This boards NEEDS (more) representation of fans from the football factories... it's part of CFB's allure.
Second, RACK Vannie for being funny. RACK IF for being much funnier.
Third, can we call a moratorium on the horrid phrase "url adress"? It's a "URL," OR an "adress"... one or the other, not both... you know, since Van has been bagging on others' grammar and all. "Adress" OR "URL" -- "Universal Resource Locator" -- in other words, an "adress."
Your cooperation in the matters of my pet peeves is greatly appreciated in advance.
And one more thing -- that FSU Hottie is so hot, I'd lick her butthole in front of my parents.

That one gets a pass, I suppose because it's also used in the singular.
But irregardless, for all intensive purposes per say, the grammatical idiosyncrasies of the sports world don't bug me like the
real life ones people use.

'skull, seriously, I didn't even realize someone had added the (!) to this thread. I wasn't even aware of the addition, even though it's not as if my eyes didn't see it.
I intentionally chose a picture which I felt would not necessitate a (!) being added to the thread title. One can see equally scantily clad women every night on network tv, and sometimes quite a bit more.
I thought that pic would be plenty safe.

I didn't add the !, but I agree with whoever did. That hottie's behind looks great to me - but it also looks pretty much unadorned. I think it's fair to warn folks who need to be careful at work. Also, perhaps the thread was marked in an anticipatory gesture, because in the past, folks used to throw up a lot of hottie pics in milestone threads.
Hey - we've got to do something to lure Lizard King out of his basement.

I was an intern in Dallas when I first started posting on the Rome site. Got is trouble a couple times because my project lead saw me posting on message boards way too much. If you'reworried about what someone at work may see, prolly shouldn't be here.

The hottie pic, I have no problem with. The tags are for nudity, for the most part. I'm allowed to be on the internet at work "goofing off," but that doesn't mean I'm allowed to look at porn. That's what the tags are for. They're a simple, effortless way to give somebody a heads up, and if anybody has a problem with that, you can kindly get fucked.

There's a LARGE difference between a scantily clad woman, the likes of which we see every day on network tv, and porn.
My understanding was the (!) was to be used in cases of nudity and/or porn. The pic I posted displayed neither. In fact, many a female Olympics volleyball picture is every bit as "pornographic" as the pic I posted. Swimming and diving too, plus those synchronized swimming whores.
These days a bit of bared ass flesh is considered neither nudity nor porn.

Nobody is paying you to spend one minute on T1B.
