Kiffin wins, simply because he didn't just sign someone named "Keiwone Malone."

Good job, Bama. You just signed an illiterate porn star.

As long as Kiffin wins he'll have that gig as long as he wants it. If he doesn't win it wouldn't matter how well he followed SEC etiquette, he'd soon be looking for a job.

That's how it works in the SEC.

Steve Spurrier said and did whatever the fuck he wanted while at Florida and they built a statue for the guy. Les Miles ran off at the mouth right away at LSU and while the rest of the country labeled him a loud mouthed buffoon the people at LSU celebrated his chutzpah.

You can be dead nuts certain that Vols Nation loves what Kiffin said, even if Kiffin had some of his info wrong. They'll back him till the end of time if he wins. If Kiffin beats Meyer and Saban he could grab the mic at the next pep rally and call Mark Richt "a big fag" and those monkeys in Knoxville will still pray to him come Sunday morning.

On game day Kiffin could wear a visor with an orange swastika in place of the "T" and as long as he wins fat moms and their mullet sportin' corn dogs will be wearing Lane Kiffin t-shirts as they fill the aisles of Wal-Marts all over Tennessee...

If Sherman were to win a national championship at A&M, I would shave a swastika on the top of my head and have hairplugs put in to make me look like I have a mullet in the back. I'll shave my balls and chest and adhere the hair to my face to look like a beard. Last, but not least, I'd go to my grandma's house and grab a pair of skivvies, whack off onto a mirror, put on the skivvies and take a picture of myself and post it here.

And many other Ags would too...

I'd ask the mods to sticky this thread so that we could hold you to this. But something tells me we'll never get that opportunity.

Would that work in Aggieland?
Tuberville was one of those rumored to replace Fran. Sherman will not be gone until at least 4 years in a row of not contending for the XII South. If you are "up there' in contending for the XII south, you're in good company with OU and t.u.

That said, if Sherman is gone in 4 years and Tuberville is still available (most likely Gary Kubiak will be available to), I think it would be between those two. Personally, I'd take Tuberville over Kubiak. Tuberville can recruit east of Texas, and he has a solid track record in CFB. Kubiak is an unknown. Tuberville, hands down. Only question is would he want us? I think so.

Exactly. It has nothing to do with needing to figure out the SEC works, as if the SEC is any different than anywhere else...

'Spray, on a serious note do you think Tennessee will ever make it back to the top? Forget Kiffin for the moment. I'm just talking Tennessee. I've always thought that aside from having the huge stadium and the Vol Walk it must be tough to get kids from outside the state to come there, and now they're a bad team competing in a division that has Urban Meyer, Mark Richt and even Steve Spurrier. Then there's Bama, LSU and Auburn on the other side, and Houston Nutt is a good recruiter too.

Dunno. That one seems like it'll be a very tough nut to crack.

No, I'm not asking you what you think Kiffin needs to do to keep his job. I'm asking you whether you think it's even plausible that Tennessee can get back to winning ten or eleven games in a season?

Minus landing their own Meyer or Saban I just don't know that Tennessee will ever be that type of program again.

Also, again, most of the country thought Les Miles was a total buffoon for saying the things he said when he landed the LSU gig. It didn't stop LSU fans from loving what he said...

Not at the time he first began popping off at LSU, he hadn't.

He didn't scabdick his way into his cheesy championship while using Saban's players until after he'd already made a buffoon out of himself.
