What is the surcharge for season tickets at your school?
I honestly thought it would be more than that to hold on to half decent seats in Baton Rouge. I pay over $1,000 on each of my tickets just for the right to purchase and that is with half of my deceased grandfather's donor points on my account.

Oh, wait...

Man, how badly wil LSU assrape their season ticket holders the next time they're coming off a good year?

Most schools have a priority list of donors, but you can still get season tickets without a donation. Are you saying LSU has zero tickets without a surcharge?

That would be crazy.

Michigan has Personal Seat Donations of different levels.

The End zones are $100 a ticket
The 15-0 are $250 a ticket
35-15 are $375 a ticket
50-35 are $500 a ticket.

I am fortunate that we are seven seats from the $500 section. Either way it ends up being just over $100 a ticket between the donation and the ticket. I love forking that kind of cash out to watch Michigan play Delaware State.

I pay a little over $1,000 for my Season tickets. I am on the 40 yard line on the Texas side in the upper deck. When I got them 15 years ago, I paid a little over $200 for both.

Harv,

Does that include your donation to the Longhorn Foundation? Or is that amount for multiple tickets?

I can tell you Oklahoma doesn't have a single season ticket available without at least a small surcharge with is tagged as donations to both the academic fund and scholarship athlete fund. You can nose bleeds in the end zone for around only a $200 surcharge per ticket though. I'll take my seats on the 48 though, thanks.

Wow...you are an angry dude.

I understand how hard it is to get by these days with a community college education, but....seriously man. Calm down.

You Wal-Mart scU-M fans are the most hypocritical fans on the face of the earth. Fortunately, thanks to Slobbering Sam and his ilk, you don't have the market cornered on biggest dumbfucks, so you should send some thanks his way for that.

You guys bitch about the renovations...then you renew your tickets. You bitch about how the size of the concourse decreased in half and fans have to wait hours to get into the stadium and how its impossible to get around...yet you renew your tickets. You bitch about how the quality of home opponents has decreased over the past decade...but you still renew your tickets. You bitch about every fucking thing possible, from LLLLLLloyd, to the boring offense, to the shit opponents, to getting shit-stomped at home by inferior opponents every season, and having the most pathetic defense this side of Pioneer, yet you still give Bill Martin your fucking money.

As I said, eat shit, you fucking cunt.

Does the $800 go toward the scholarship fund?

I make a $1,000 annual contribution, which gives me the right to buy up to 8 seats. The contribution is 80% tax deductible. The price per season ticket was $192, which is the same price again this season.

I don't think ND has a surcharge per se, but you have to make a donation just to get in the lottery. The minimum donation is $100 if you're <5 or >50 years out of school, $200 for everyone else. And that only gets you in a lottery -- no guarantee you'll actually get the tickets (although your chances are pretty good if you put in for the games with lesser demand).

A donation of $1,000 or more gets you in the Sorin Society, and I understand you can get season tickets in that instance.

What are you talking about?

1) I attended the University of Michigan.

2) I have never complained about the stadium, I am actually excited about it. I'm pretty sure I posted about that when they announced the changes.

3) I was almost always supportive of lloyd until the App State loss. Which...I think is justified.

4) I think complaining about scheduling decisions is my right. It would be foolish to throw away the season tickets that has been in my family for over 20 years just because of a stupid decicion by the University. Especially since I supported the RichRod hire, I support the Stadium renovations, I was ok with the PSD...etc .etc. If it makes you feel better to throw all Michigan fans in the same category, then I guess go ahead and do it. But you come off as amazingly ignorant.

5) Have you noticed that there is only one real MSU fan around here. The rest just hate Michigan? I love how much time you spend hating on my University. NO other school on this board or probably in the country (except maybe ND) has people who spend all their college football passion hating them like Michigan.

I forget to mention "bitch year in and year out about the increasing price of tickets and the decreasing quality of home opponents, yet continue to renew season tickets." That's quality #1 for scU-M fan.

Not sure how it is done everywhere else, but at A&M, it is a first come/first serve. Sure, there are different levels such as end zone, 1st/2nd/3rd deck, 0-20, 20-40, 40-40, etc. First come/first serve meaning those older Ags who have had tix for decades have the best seats. You drop your tix and you have to get back at the end of the line.

So, yeah, people are held hostage to the performance of the team if they want to keep the same seats or upgrade. And in A&M's case, they have raised ticket prices each of the last 4 years. Now tell me that isn't fucking bullshit. That's how Bill Bryne has gotten the nickname $-Bill in Aggieland. All about money for that douchebag.

that's this generation of AD's. marketing and revenue whoring. CU's newish AD Mike Bohn is from that school. the marketing presence is impressive, but not a lot to show for it yet. season tickets are about the same in football (in #'s sold)...but they are doing this sneaky thing where the cost for the season tickets is roughly the same, but there's one less home game since CU-CSU is at Invesco...so, technically, after 3 straight non-winning seasons the price keeps going up per capita ticket...thought it looks like a freeze.

i can also say that the CU student ticket costs about 3 times what it did the last time i bought them in 01. from about 55$ for 6 games to almost 200$, i've heard.

when my pops started taking me to Owen Field in Norman in the late 70's the North Endzone ticket (sec. 19, seats 21 and 22) was 12$ a piece, printed on your ticket. those were my g-paw's seats from the mid 50's. these days, pops sits on about the 40 just beneath the east side upper deck overhang. no idea what he pays for those (probably like SCS), though his donor activity has always been primarily hoops and golf.
