Anybody catch "Wakeen" Phoenix on Dave this evening? Dude was high or some shit. He had a scruffy beard,hair and mumbled with what seemed to be a British accent! Picture late sixties Beattles. I dont know if he was going with the weird actor vibe...perhaps the "Im too cool to promote my movie" thing...Dave annililated him...thanking him for not being here, and at one point saying he wanted to appologize to Farrah Fawcet. I thought maybe Wakeem might go Crispen Glover on Dave. Dave couldnt get him to do anything but mumble.

And then...Dave goes at the SI swimsuit cover chick, (nice boobs btw, but wheres the pubes?), about how she met Leo Decaprio...she has none of it and evades in a fun way.

I can't really stay up that late, and I do like Dave sometimes, so I'd be down with that.

Definitely a set up. Gotta be. That guy has done a bazillion talk show interviews. He knows better than to mumble one word answers, followed by obviously uncomfortable silences.

That is, unless he's simply lost his mind. Considering his choice of "music" and his recent career path change, well, maybe...hopefully.

Definitely looked staged. Look at the way he hops up after it's over, shakes Letterman's hand, and I believe says "good job."

Can we expect him to return and apologize to viewers along with a gospel singer and testimony as to how he's come to know Jesus ?
