Seriously, who else would blame a calendar for a loss?

its not the calendar, its the travel. the team flies on thursday night to play saturday games, gives them time to do their walk through get aclimated, get their rest. On thursday night games, they travel on thursday. Theres a reason why home teams have won thursday night games at more than a 90% clip

So does Sagarin give kudos points in the SOS column for those teams who travel for Thursday night games?

Hell the way you walk around with your chest puffed out about how tough USC schedules, I would think you would want all 12 games to be Thursday night road games. You know. Just to show how tough you REALLY are.

if other schools are going to make pussy schedules, Id rather USC did as well so they can be judged fairly

I am hopeful that we do not get one of the 2 remaining Thursday night spots since I would think they are saving them for the Big East. We suck playing that day of the week.

USF suffers from Unfair Scheduling Calendar Syndrome too?

The locals from both sides of the fence are FUCKING PISSED OFF about the selling out of the Civil War.

I hope Oregon compoanies are prepared to have no one show up at work on December 5th... maybe we should just declare a state holiday.

No need to call it a holiday as it is a Saturday. Most folks are already off.

My interest in proofreading my posts has steadily waned as my knack for hitting a variety of wrong keys has increased.

Not a very good combo for messageboarding.

FSU always plays shitty on Thursday Nights. Always take the other team and the points. Trust me, it is easy money.

I enjoy the extra games on TV, but I'm glad ND doesn't do them. ND plays on Saturday afternoons, when God meant for college football to be played.

Exactly. They should leave Thursday night games to the bottom dwellers of BCS conferences and mid-majors looking for the exposure

To my knowledge we've lost every Thursday ESPN game we have played. Conversely, we have won every Friday ESPN/ESPN2 game we have played.

FSU is 5-4 in the ESPN Thursday Night slot. I think we are always the road team due to the University not liking the idea of the game interfering with Thursday night classes

All four losses on the road...
UVA giving the Noles the first ACC loss
Louisville 2002
NCST 2006
Wake 2007

I'm now curious what the spreads were on those games.

Thursday night home dogs cover something like 150% of the time.

I think the only Thursday night game that FSU ever covered was last years.

If you see FSU in a Thursday night game, two things will happen. FSU will be on the road and FSU will not cover the spread.
