After reading Wags' thread about Robin Trower, I had to post this.
Saw Jeff Beck a couple of years ago at the Greek Theater in L.A. and was completely blown away. Yes, he's playing material that's mostly at least 30 years old, but he continues to put a new spin on everything he plays. This guy alternately makes his strat sing, cry, howl and thunder like nobody else now or in the past.
I just bought this CD yesterday. Released in November from a show in 2007. I'm still blown away. Dude is almost 65 years old. If you EVER have a chance to see this man in person, DO IT...
The DVD from this show is coming out in March. I've pre-ordered it on Amazon.
