Possible PET to follow...but we played our first live GIG this past Saturday at a neighborhood dive bar...

Fact is...we played pretty damn good if I don't say so myself...our first set was right on the money...2nd set a few hiccups but got some good pop from Like A Stone and Fake It...First set highlight was Forever by Papa Roach and two of our old standbys Plus and Creep...all in all a huge night for us to get over playing live outside of the neighborhood or private parties...

Again possible PET to come but if any of you play in a band and have experienced playing live at a bar, etc...pretty cool and a great rush...

I know screw will tell me to go fuck myself or something because our set list sucked...sorry we don't play MGMT tunes... :D

He'd probably be downright apoplectic were he to find out I sat in with a local cover band last Saturday. It was totally unexpected as I didn't realize when we went out that they would be playing. Had a chat with the singer in between sets and next thing you know I'm singing "Jumping Jack Flash" to 200 drunken patrons. And as usual, it was a rush. NOTHING beats singing to a live audience.

Props on your first gig. Did you record any of it?

Might have some of it...the bar took some pics and recorded pieces...I will check...

Yes it was our first LIVE bar gig...we have played in the neighborhood and for Community Events...but this was our first true live gig...we had a blast...

It is a very cool thing...enjoyed it...was in a band in HS that played a couple gigs at gyms...that was cool...actually felt more at ease playing live than I have in our practices...just got up there and went after it...

We are updating some songs I think we are going to put in

Alive by PJ
Sad But True Metallica
Highway To Hell AC/DC (although we will drop it down a step) the singer jammed it out an octave lower the other day...WOW
Vasoline by STP

and possibly Pride by U2...

I know screw those songs blow balls...
