The Ducks are an interesting team right now to follow leading into Tuesday. They're in the big heap of teams fighting for a playoff spot...part of group of 4 teams tied for 7th in the West. However, they have 9 unrestricted free agents going into the summer. They look a lot like the Penguins last year where they had a lot of free agents but it appears the Ducks are looking to sell instead of make a big move improve their team for this year. Kunitz was signed for another 3 years at less salary than Whitney but they've already got Perry and Getzlaf signed long term plus they'll need to lock up Ryan soon as well. They don't really have a defenseman signed of any significance signed beyond next year. The next name that could be moved may be Chris Pronger, who has just one year left on his deal.
