Mississippi State had some problems spelling their own name.

I never went to Catholic school.
Why would a Domer bring up "cornholes "... in a spelling/football topic ?
"Something you'd like to share with the board that you can't do in confession" ?

I'd like to share that you could tell the flavor of a popsicle by sitting on it. That, and you get plungered so much you have splinters in your throat. Other than that, nope.

I see, you played "

Did you take on any other "positions" ?

Toolio, your command of "modern english" is about as certain as my command of advanced quantum physics.
Your use of commas, and punctuation in general, is like a neverending game of pin the tail on the donkey. You haven't a fucking clue what you're doing. You just throw shit out there, and sometimes you're accidentally right.
I don't claim to be any sort of english scholar, but when someone as laughably inept as you attempts to belittle the linguistic efforts of anybody - you bet your ass you're gonna get called on it.

Your subject was a singular noun. Therefore "was" is the correct usage.

Hardly... the sentence is grammatically correct.

m2, try these examples on for size...
Singular subject...
"It were great."
"It was great."
Plural subject...
"They were great."
"They was great."
See the correlation in each example between the singular and plural subjects and the correct applications of was/were?
Instead of "I'd be more surprised if it were spelled correctly!" the correct way to've written that sentence would've been, "I'd be more surprised if it was spelled correctly!"
You could've also said, "I'd be more surprised if they spelled it correctly!"
It'd be a bit awkward and very Merchant Ivory-ish but if you insist on using "were" in that sentence you could've said, "I'd be more surprised, were it spelled correctly!" Even that would be iffy. "I'd be more surprised, had it been spelled correctly!" would be better.
So, unless you want to sound like the very Mississippians you aim to denigrate I suggest you get this shit sorted out. I'd also suggest you not say another word on the subject other than, "Hey, you were right, Mgo. Now I see my error. Good to know. Thanks."

Didn't think so.

Nice edit, dipshit. I saw what you wrote last night. Your original take was so ridiculous even you felt compelled to change your answer to something much more vague, such as "the sentence is correct." Pretty sad when that's the smartest move you've made in the entire thread.

Next time someone bitches to the Governator about the budget/deficit, he should just reply..."The people passed a measure 15 years ago that would have this state still well in the black, the Democrats are responsioble for us being in the red, any budget fix must begin with passing the will of the people"
My wife and I claim a pretty good portion of our incomes but as a family of four with our children in private schools and living in a gated community where we maintain our own roads, I see no reason why we should pay as much in taxes as a family of four who lives on public roads and has kids in public schools let alone more than them.

Schmick, I agree with you about all these GD illegals. Our schools are filled with them. Our school and district in particular spends sick amounts of money on these kids who come to us unable to read, no educational values, gang members, pains in the ass, special education and we spend tens of thousands of dollars on a situation that's not going to get better. Now, when I taught in juvenile jail probably 70% of the mexican kids I had were illegal. So instead of deporting their asses we keep them here, feed them, clothe them, educate them (yeah like they really want one of those) house them etc......fuck what the hell ever happened to prop 187.
My issue is that if you send your kids to private school should you pay taxes? Well what about the hordes of people who don't have kids in school yet, or their kids are out of school. Then who pays?

Im not saying that I shouldnt pay taxes because my sons go to private school, Im just saying that I shouldnt pay more taxes than some family with 2 or more kids in public schools. I already pay a ton for public schools as a great deal of the property tax I pay for my families home goes to the public schools and some Illegal family with 6 kids in public schools who is living in some dumpy apartment in Santa Ana isnt paying a dime in property taxes..
Thanks for the 187, I couldnt remember what the proposition was called just remember voting on the thing back then, it passing and then being held up in courts by the Libtards who lost the election ever since.
I remember one of the professors at USC explaining to us that by the time an average hispanic or black student reaches 12th grade, they are reading and doing math at the level of a white 7th or 8th grader nationwide. the illegals, from what I understand from overhearing the libtard friends of my wife who are teachers, look at public school as a babysitter and never emphasize education.

Where would an Asian student be, on his scale? Also, were any blacks or Hispanics sitting in his classroom when he said that?

And there's the problem. Because everyone is entitled to a free education you and I have to foot the bill for the people who don't pay property taxes. We've got a lot of kids in our school that live in apartments and I know they don't pay property taxes. Maybe they do indirectly with their rent but when you've got 3 families living in that apartment something's wrong.

It's amazing that in California when something slightly conservative passes the fucking lefties get their panties all in a bunch and over turn it.

It seems that for many of the illegals and mexican kids we are a baby sitting service. When I have a prep period and I'm walking around campus guess what I see? Mostly Mexican gang bangers standing around ditching class, or are out of class doing nothing but tagging in the bathroom and not giving a shit about education. Hell I was in with one of our AP's this morning and she was talking to a counselor about a kid who was with us previously and is not a senior (age wise) but has NO CREDITS and is a behavior problem. Well the dad just brought her back from Mexico and is concerned about her education. Hey dumb fuck....she's a senior age wise and has no fucking credits........and you're concerned.......but this will be the teachers fault for not teaching this kid. I say, fuck em...deport em.

Lax, how do you emotionally deal with what you know? Seriously. Knowing what you know, what you see with your own two eyes every day at your school, how do you not just throw up your hands and bail?
Doesn't the idea of simply pulling up stakes and re-locating to somewhere where your job isn't simply to baby sit, doesn't that idea weigh on you like crazy?
It would weigh on me like crazy. I'd be wanting out.

he was a black professor, Poly Sci, there were a few blacks in the classroom
One of the ladies that is friends with my wife said that in Santa Ana the School District spent over a hundred thousand dollars on computers for the ESL classes at the high schools at the start of last school year and by Christmas break the hispanic kids in those classes had scratched their gang logos in to the screens to the point that over 80% of the screens were no longer usable and none of those computers made it to the end of the school year. Its not that theyre here illegally and leaching off the system, theyre also destroying the facilities provided for them. Human Locusts

You should see all the destruction they do at our school. Bunch of fucking dirt bags and the wanna be gangsters prey on kids and intimidate them but nobody can do anything about it because you're violating their civil rights. My question is an education is within their civil rights and they're not taking advantage of it so if that's the case get the fuck out. The problem is that they know they'll be cited for a probation violation if they don't go to school. Then the jails are too full to put them back. Van, I've been doing this for 20+ years. 16 in the juvenile justice system at Juv. Halls, probation camps etc.....I've been at a public school for 3 1/2 years. I'm the boys and girls golf coach. I get out of school early just about everyday to either play or practice golf. The kids on my team are a blast to work with. I know I can't fight it and it's not ever going to get any better so why do I keep doing it? How the fuck do I know. Maybe it's the free golf or the positive relationships I have with some of the kids. If I move out of state then I'm screwed retirement wise. My kids are all vested in their schools and it's just too much of a pain in the ass.
Besides, did I mention I coach golf in the fall and in the spring.
Now this will blow your fucking minds. When I taught at a probation camp we had 7 teachers. Since all of the kids were considered Title 1 kids our budget for Title 1 equipment which included anything supplemental, computers, printers, digital cameras, books other than text books etc......7 teachers.....remember that.......over 100,000 dollars. EACH FUCKING YEAR. I had a classroom with 20 brand new computers, a brand new 1,500 dollar laser printer, a 5,000 laser color printer, a Nikon D70 digital camera.....and I kept my shit clean. If a kid fucked with it I hammered them. Now I've been in classrooms where there isn't one functioning computer and they're all trashed. Now when I was at the Juvenile Hall with around 30 teachers we got about 400K in title 1 money. That's where a lot of our money is being wasted too. On these fuckers who are in high school but have about 5 credits, can't read, can't write, can't do math but we spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to educate these assholes. I went back to the Juv. Hall this summer to substitute teach and they stuck me with the HRO's, orange jumpsuit kids, murderers, kids doing 30+ years multiple life terms etc....well I'm in a classroom that has a 32" flat screen TV mounted on the wall. Fuck I asked the kids if they could help me get it out of the facility, not to mention the projection monitor and all the other stuff this teacher had. Amazing the waste in that system too.
