Sweden forced the Israeli Davis Cup tennis team to play in an empty stadium due to threats of violence by local radicals.
But that didn't stop them from attacking the stadium. Thousands of protesters attacked police at the Davis Cup Match today between Israel and Sweden.

Well, for starters, he plays a Jazzmaster. He plays punk/alternative, which isn't exactly fertile ground for guitar. He also does a lot of drumming. He's obviously not the same kind of player as a Govan or a Holdsworth. He's not a guitar instrumentalist. He's not on that level.

I dunno, to me he's kind of John Fusciante on speed.

There's nothing wrong with a Jazzmaster, per se. It's just not what you're going to see a world class guitarist using these days as his main weapon of choice for guitar instrumental music.

It's more of a surf or punk guitar and neither of those genres feature much in the way of top level guitar playing.

McCready and Stone Gossard are both perfectly fine rock players. The point of Pearl Jam is obviously not the guitar melody or the guitar solo, it's the songs. McCready is there to write songs and to support Eddie Vedder. A guy like McCready or even a Mark Tremonti, these guys wouldn't pretend to be on the level of a Jeff Beck, much less a Holdsworth, Vai, Morse or Govan.

To the best of my knowledge the only times Vai's played with orchestras they played Vai's compositions or they played "Fire Strings," which was written for Vai by some Japanese orchestra. I'm not aware of any recordings or clips of Vai playing Wagner.
