You three typically have widely varying opinions on this topic, which is why I'm specifically asking for all your opinions.
Mindless shredding? No melody? Masturbatory shlock? Gay as fuck hair flipping? Epic compositions, rife with sphincter rending emotion?
All the same, and all equally pointless?
Break each one down...

the first one with satch stats out kinda bluesy. I like that. But, his tone seems exactly like Vai's which, for me is not such a good thing. Definitely one of the masters with otherworldly skills, but, it just doesn't do it for me.
I liked the beginning as with satch, then he went into that weird very electronic sounding middle part which was certainly unique, but, left me cold in the tone department once again.
Strong marks in the homoerotic category though. Must be a steve thing.

I kinda liked the andy timmons one. really liked it early. warmer tone than the others. got a little shreddy in the middle though, dog. best so far.
What he does at the 1:11 mark is just impossible. Can't believe he tries shit like that, live.

Listen to any G3 show where they play side by side and you'll see his tone couldn't be much more different than Vai's. Satch has a very nasal tone, like he's always playing with a wah slightly depressed. Vai has a much thicker, darker and heavier tone.
Joe's JSX just soesn't sound anything like a Legacy.

Most people have never even heard of the guy. Killer tone and not your typical "shred." Very melodic. He's like a wilder and way better Michael Schenker in that clip.

Stanley has so much funk and tone. That stingy ass niggah need to give some to them white boys. And he just makes it look so god damn easy.
[pikkkle] He just better stay away from the white wimins [/pikkkle]

Petrucci.
Well, he's a paisan, so that's a + for him.
Haven't really listened to him before. I liked it. Kinda of an eric johnson kind of tone which, imo, is a good thing. I liked it when he slowed it down in the middle. he tried to go all ann yngwie near the end, except that he was doing it all on 1 or 2 strings. Yngwie uses about 78 different strings when he shreds.

Jeff Beck. Had to go back and watch it a second time as I was being uhhhhh.... distrated by that little tart on bass bouncing up and down like she was riding jeff's withered old hog.
What can you say about jeff. He is one of the fukking kings of rock guitar. gotta be top 5. nobody has a better feel for the instrument.
'scuse me now whilst I go watch that again and rub one out to that permed little freak.
One other thing, I was gonna mention in pertrucci's video what an epcot drummer portnoy was, but, having just watched vinny in beck's video, all I can say is, mike, you fukking suck. vinnie's looking almost as old as jeff, but, he absolutely tears it up.

Yep, Tal Wilkenfeld may be the perfect human being: a 20 year old Aussie cutie with perfect tits and a dazzling smile, and a monster musician too.
Damn, she does justice to a t-shirt.
Best thing about that Stanley Jordan video was one of the comments...
"Stanley Jordan is like a black Jimi Hendrix!"

I was watching her jiggle that top part of the bass' body that kinda looks like a dick between those pert little titties, wondering why that couldn't be my junk there instead.

Anyone ever attempted or saw Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" performed on a guitar? The high notes kill.

I saw Michael Angelo Batio play "Bohemian Rhapsody" on his bizarro double guitar, using nothing but his taint to fret the notes.
