We can only hope as Sooner fans. Daniel Orton's father has had some choice comments here lately about what his son's response would be to Gillespie's dismissal and mentioned OU by name.

I have no clue if we have room for him with a scholly though to be honest. It would be an absolutely stud class for OU if Orton ended up at OU. Tiny and Orton in the post...

There have been grumblings about BCG being out at UK around here since about 2 minutes after his hiring press conference. That said, the talk has amplified greatly these past few weeks and is starting to come from more reliable sources than Jethro rants on a UK fan board. Apparently the real issue at hand isn't the wins and losses, though that certainly doesn't help, but BCG's inability to be the "face of the program". I guess he doesn't really care so much for the fish bowl existence and duties that come from being DA MAN of such a high profile gig.

At this point I'd say even if it doesn't happen now it'll happen in the near future.
