I like Todd Lickliter. He's a good coach. But this is just a bad situation that he's not capable of improving because of his inability to recruit.

Jake Kelly forms into a star, then bolts. Jeff Peterson, our starting PG.......gone. David Palmer, transfers to D2. Don't blame him. Dude comes out of nowhere to start games and scores 20 points in back-to-back games. Has a bad game and then Lickliter refuses to play him the rest of the year except a few minutes. What the fuck? Jermain Davis leaves for D2, but I don't care. He sucks.

I have no idea who runs the point next year. We were loaded at that position with Kelly and Peterson and now we're going to be the worst team in the conference at that spot.

I haven't a clue how this team wins more than a game or 2 in Big-10 play next year. Matt Gatens and Anthony Tucker will have to just go nuts from the perimeter for us to even be in any games (they are capable of that though).

It's going to be 2-3 years before this team can be competitive again. I don't know how you keep Lickliter. I know it's only 2 years in, but because he can't recruit real well due to his style of play and his lack of arrogance, so I don't know how he is able to get us out of this hole.

Billy Gillespie is available. Keno Davis would leave Providence in a heartbeat to come to Iowa. Maybe we could give Bruce Pearl a $500k raise to come here. I bet he would if we did that. I think he would have come to Iowa 2 years ago if we would have been willing to increase his salary by quite a bit.
