Besides USC playing in a BCS game, if I could pick just one game next year to watch in person it'd be the RRS. With both QBs returning and with Texas being so pissed about last season that ought to be the most emotionally charged game of the year, anywhere.

That's going to be one helluva game time atmosphere, especially if they both come in undefeated, which they obviously should.

i don't think there is going to be anywhere on the official Big XII site that lists UT and Tech as winning a share of the conference championship....South division maybe. That's not a subjective statement, that's an objective falsehood. There is nothing hanging in the Texas locker room from the Big XII, saying Texas is co-champions of the Big XII in 2008.

Evidently our athletic dept can't seem to get their act together.

When it first went up, the claim from the athletic dept was that the Big 12 awarded a share of the title to each of the teams that tied for the best record at the end of the regular season. At lease that's how it was explained when it was noted about 3 months ago that it was up. Now the athletic department has backed off that statement and is telling everyone that it was a mistake and Mack is denying any knowledge of it. So at this point who the hell knows.

I know for a fact that Mack knew about it, and my opinion is that this was probably put up as a big fuck you to the BCS, Big 12 and Oklahoma.

I know we got screwed. OU had the higher BCS ranking and got to play Florida. Did I agree with it? No. But it is what it is and those werer the rules at the start of the season. If you would have told Texas fan last year that we would end the season 12-1 with a win over OU and a BCS victory, we would have taken it. It was a major tease. Texass played against a weak ass Big 10 school that couldn't even win it's conference just like you couldn't. A team that struggled to put the ball in the end zone and score points for 3/4 of its schedule... with the exception of Tejass who you made look offensively above average. In the fourth quarter of the tejass/Ohio State game I turned to a man who I've formed a very close sports type relationship with since my divorce and the exact words out of my mouth were "We're in trouble with Florida." This is a man who is retired at 63 years of age and spent nearly 50 years of his life playing and coaching the game of football at both the high school and small college level, that in three years of playing QB1 with the little blue boxes you see at every bar across the nation I've seen lose just fucking twice during Monday night football and on Sundays often winning as many as 3 different games at a time that are running concurrently at the haunt we choose to slurp alcoholic beverages and scream at the television screens of. His only reply was "OU better have 24 points on the board before half time or Florida takes home the Crystal Ball." A fucking soothsayer in my mind. Tejass performance against Ohio State was the reason that after 3 1/2 weeks of raising absolute hell here on this board I became markedly silent in the days immediately prior to the National Title Game. Congrats on barely fucking beating a team that went 1-2 against ranked opponents, a team that struggled to put the ball in the end zone against the likes of Ohio University, Troy, Purdue, and Wisconsin and at home in three of the four games.
