Rack 88 for doing his "patriotic duty" of paying more taxes !
I sent a "virtual tea bag" to the sharks in DC and luckily only had to cut a check to the US Treasury for the grand sum of $20.73.
My guess is that I will get a notice next year that I owe more. I can only hope they cut me the same deal as their boss--no penalty or interest. The best thing was winning $6,968 on the Lottery here Saturday with 5 numbers out of 6 and having the IRS take out $1,700 in withholding--- so I can't invest it for the coming year. Think I'll get interest on that ??

Lucky fucking you. I cut a check to Uncle Sam for $59,429.00. Cut a check to the state of Indiana for $3,307.00.

Then I cut 1st estimated voucher for almost 10k to Sam and another 1k to the state.

I also went to the Post Office today. Thankfully I only had two checks to mail, both the the Feds, none to the State.

While waiting for a chance to drop my envelopes in the slot I heard someone asking how long it would take to get her refund. WTF? If I were getting a refund I sure as hell wouldn't wait until April 15th to mail off my return. I also wouldn't go to the post office to send it in.

Now for those of us paying, I suggest you always wait until today to send it in. No sense in giving them more free loans.

Why don't you use some of that money to pay Wolfman back?

It would be the right thing to do.

He'll be dead to the rest of the world soon, too. That doesn't mean you can't settle your debts with his estate.

As always thanks for the kind thoughts Bri--BTW--you might want to look into decreasing your withholding. I almost forgot that some states have an income tax !

Fucking socialist turn coat.

You should have told OMuslim to just keep the 2 large and do something to help the poor downtrodden people in this counrty. I mean is that not why we all pay taxes ?

I sure he would rack you for doing that.

Remember that 2 large back. After your Messiah gets done over the next 4 years, even you liberal honks will get taxed so fucking much, the gubmint will have to find new marks to get more money from.

Why would a semi-millionaire waste time on a message board?

Unless, of course, you're full of shit.

Semi millionaire ??

Taxes of that would equate to about annual adjusted gross income of around 175K or so. Pretty hard to become a millionaire when the gubmint takes 40% or more of your income.

Dude is doing pretty good, but not flush by any means.

You must be using Form 2210 to calculate your quarterly estimated taxes. Otherwise you are probably going to get nailed for an underpayment of quarterly estimated taxes next April. Just sayin.

And, since no one else will ever thank you... Thanks for carrying the burden for shit stains like Bri.
Color me not surprised that you of all people here get it. I did write that check. ANd it was 30k less than I expected to pay thanks to my accountant. My situation this year was unique. As you may know, I was only required to sbmit estimated taxes based upon prior year income for the "new business" I was vested into. Since I had no income from prior year year from this "new business" I only paid estimated taxes in Q1 what I paid from my regular job.

Now, my "new business" netted me much $$$ from dividends (tax free, yeah!) and estimated taxes. I took all that estimated taxes and threw it into my HELOC. Saved me lots on interest as opposed to giving it to Uncle Obama early.

So yeah, I cut that check as I said. Then again, it was as I owed. I just gotta rack my accountant again though as he saved me about 30k in taxes I expected to pay. NIIIIIIIIICE deduction on businesses that have farmland involved.

No, at most it would equate to taxable income of around $175K or so. Taxable income differs from AGI. And even then, it's dicey at best, even if you assume that he made no earlier payments on his '08 tax liability. $59K is about 33.7% of $175K, and the tax brackets are all marginal.

I read somewhere that the average millionaire in this country earns only about $150K/year. Of course, at that income level, it would take several years of saving and investing to get to millionaire status, and Indy Frisco is still a relatively young guy. So he might not be there yet. But if those numbers are on the level, and his income remains consistent, if he's not there in the next 10 years or so, he's definitely doing something wrong.
