As you know, everything is about business these days. Everything is about the Almighty Dollar, the bottom line. This board is no exception. Part of our job, as The Deciders, is to produce revenue…and don’t be fooled by what you’ve seen or heard…this place rolls LARGE. But…it could roll much larger.

That’s why we’re here to promote and institute new ideas to keep this place thriving in the market place. What we’d like to see, quite frankly, is an exercise in kinder, gentler message boarding. Studies have shown that “nice” or “normal” online discussion is what appeals to the masses. So, going forward, we’d like for you to refrain from any obscenities, and we’d like you to engage in what would be construed as “pleasant” discussion.

For example: If you have a disagreement with another poster, instead of saying, “Gargle my balls, you cock-stroking fuckstick,” go with something more along the lines of, “I understand your point, but I respectfully disagree.”

Now, let’s practice by conducting an exercise. Simply post in this thread and say something pleasant about the poster above you.

I don't know who the Deciders are but this is one of the best things I've seen posted on this message board. If more people would take this to heart the board would improve. I might even find more time to post more things here if that was the case. But the negativity and childish insults and fighting take the strength right away from people. Just give it thought at least some of you.
