Memphis goes from one of the best classes in recent memory to zippo, thanks to Coach Cal. Sucks to be you, Memphis fan.

UK has gone "Saban" and hooked up a tradition rich program with a big $$$$ coach/kind of a scumbag but charismatic recruiter with a train of AAU studs, wanna be "1 and done" 5 star types. This is the state of the art college basketball today, sadly.

UK will be an insanely talented, but dysfunctional mess in Cal's first year. That's my call. Too many egos that will want to pad their stats to keep in check for Coach Slick. I don't like a guy's chances to come in his first year and win it all on talent alone. It'll ultimately be a team with experienced leaders and solid chemistry that'll win it all.

I wasn't all that impressed with Wall in the all star games I watched.......I realize these aren't really a real measuring stick for anybody but what stuck out in my mind was that he didn't have a very good outside shot, and he's not real big. I'm no basketball expert but those are tough hurdles to overcome for a little guy.

Now, before anybody over-reacts, I'm not saying Wall isn't a good player. I just believe he isn't as good as advertised. UK has a lot of talent coming in. It'll be interesting to see what happens.

Calipari will also replace C-USA roadies at SMU and Tulane with real meatgrinder gyms.

The only way I'll buy all the "UK #1" hype is if Wall comes in right away and is a complete game changer ala Kevin Durant, Michael Beasley, etc. I just don't see that happening, partly due to the reasons you mentioned.

I'm excited about the new season this year. I think Kentucky will be a good team this year, but I feel Calipari will get us into some trouble with recruiting violations, academics, etc. It'll be like Eddie Sutton all over again.

Yes, I think we'll make it to the tourny this year, but winning the entire thing? Not a chance.
